Sterek Fic Rec - 2024
Guess who's backkkkk??? Ok so I know that I am late but only by like 4 days? So not too bad. Anyway! Welcome to Prince's 2024 Fic Rec List! I am now aiming to do a list every year (and more if we are lucky but let's not promise that hehe). As always here are my top 10 fics I read and a special bonus mention !
Perfect Star That Hid by thebigoblin (1/1 | 1K | Teen)
He turns his hand— It’s not bare, anymore. His wrist — it has a name. His soulmate’s name. He stares. And stares and stares because what the hell. This has to be a joke, right?
Last Christmas (I gave you my heart) by jadore_hale (1/1 | 4K | Teen)
“W-what is this?” Derek couldn’t even begin to get his mind around this current situation. “My Christmas gift to you, nephew.” Peter pushed the guy towards him, and Derek hastened to catch him before he fell face first on the floor. “I’d like you to meet your soul mate.” *** Derek's uncle Peter decides to get a little more creative this Christmas by finding Derek's soulmate and stuffing him in a box with a pretty bow on top.
Stiles Stilinski, Magical PI by suzvoy (1/1 | 21K | Mature)
Stiles is a Private Investigator, only not really. He's also magical, but only close up. One thing he's really good at is lusting over people from afar, which is why it's a problem when Laura Hale hires him to help her brother.
Wanted and Wounded by RoxyRosee (3/3 | 12K | Explicit)
Derek can't seem to get off. It's been days with no luck, and he's constantly on edge. But then pack night rolls around, and when Stiles falls into him as he goes to sit down on the couch, Derek is suddenly coming, right where he sits. Turns out, Stiles is his mate. And among a whole slew of embarrassing side effects to this whole "mate" thing is the fact that Derek will never again be able to have an orgasm without Stiles by his side. So yeah, Derek's life kind of sucks right now.
Welcome to the Jingle by Jmeelee (1/1 | 1K | Mature)
Derek could admit—only to himself, of course, never out loud—that he was a little desperate to make new holiday traditions with his (officially all adults now thank god) pack. But his ideas had run more along the lines of a cozy take-out dinner at his new apartment, an ugly sweater or white elephant party, or maybe volunteering at the local soup kitchen. It had not involved spending Christmas Eve at Jungle.
Hey Dad, Derek Hale Is In My Room. Bring Your Gun. by fairytalesandfolklore (1/1 | 767 | Teen)
Being the Sheriff's kid is hard enough. Having a seemingly over-protective father who's more concerned about your bad influence than your ex-murder-suspect werewolf boyfriend is so much worse.
"The point is, I'm an adult," he amends, heaving a weary sigh as he attempts to salvage whatever is left of his dignity. "I can make my own decisions, and I choose Derek. He makes me happy. He's a good guy. He treats me well. He looks out for me, keeps me safe. He's responsible and respectful and a complete gentleman, and I really think that if you just got to know him a little better, you'd really—" The Sheriff holds up a hand, effectively cutting Stiles off mid-ramble. "I like Derek just fine," he says, and the smile that spreads across his face is warm and genuine. "You do?" Stiles falters, completely thrown. "Wait, so then why—" The Sheriff's fond smile turns to one of wry amusement. "It's you I don't trust, Stiles," he says around a hearty chuckle. "I've raised you for 18 years, I know exactly what kind of mischief you're capable of. Wouldn't want you dragging that nice, respectable boy into any trouble."
The Hoodie by PersePhonesDreams (1/1 | 1K | General)
Stiles didn’t mean to keep Derek’s hoodie—really, he didn’t. But the oversized, ridiculously soft thing quickly became his favorite comfort item, a piece of Derek he couldn’t quite let go of. It’s not like Derek would notice anyway... right? When Derek unexpectedly shows up at Stiles’ window one quiet night, Stiles’ not-so-secret attachment to the hoodie is exposed, leading to a conversation that changes everything. Cue awkward confessions, teasing smiles, and the realization that maybe Derek doesn’t mind Stiles keeping more than just his hoodie.
Over the Hedge(witch) by rororowyourboat (1/1 | 7K | Teen)
Derek moves into a new house with Laura and he is flustered by the hot gardener next door who is always just slightly dirty.
And When I Wake You're There I'm Saved by suchfun (1/1 | 14K | Teen)
"Derek," Stiles says, firm. His hand is warm on Derek's shoulder. "I'll be okay." "You didn't leave me," Derek argues. "How can you expect me to leave you?" Stiles rolls his eyes. "Oh my god, it'll be fine. Even if I am captured, I'm just a boring human. They wanted you for your Lycan blood." Derek crosses his arms. Mainly so he doesn't wrap his hands around Stiles' throat in an attempt to throttle some sense into him. "That's fine. But this isn't a time when being a boring human is an asset. This is a time when being a boring human results in a shot to the head." "Derek," Stiles says again. He steps closer, so Derek is surrounded in his scent, his chemosignals—namely unwavering, resolute determination, distinctively sharp and entirely unbreakable—clouding Derek's mind. "You'll come back for me." He sounds so sure, and he can tell the exact moment Derek gives in. Because Derek somehow always gives in to Stiles. "I'll come back for you," he confirms. "And you better not be dead." Stiles grins, eyes sparkling with far too much humour for someone who potentially just sacrificed himself for a surly Lycan and bunch of strangers. "You do say the sweetest things."
Remember What's Lost by AMatchInWater (1/1 | 7K | Explicit)
Wild Hunt AU, Stiles gets taken and Derek instantly knows something is wrong with his memory, but just doesn't know what until Lydia calls him, begging for his help to get Stiles back because she thinks they have the strongest connection. When Derek saves Stiles he stops at nothing to finally get what's his.
princecharmingwinks special mention (this fic has a heck of a lot of emotions and when Derek fell to his knees, my heart broke. you gotta read it to find out why! don't worry I will never read or rec unhappy endings)
Horizons into Battlegrounds by AClosedFicIsNeverRead (1/1 | 15K | Explicit)
Derek has always kept his distance from Stiles, refusing to act on his instinctive desire for the pale, doe-eyed human. But at what cost? When circumstances reveal the horrors that Stiles has suffered due to Derek's self-imposed distance, will the Alpha be able to make it right before it's too late? ______________________________________________________ “Who are you to the pack?” the hunter asked. “I’m nobody.” Stiles answered plainly. And a harsh chill ran through Derek’s body. His breath caught in his throat because… because Stiles’ heart… it had remained steady. Stiles… actually believed that. Believed that he was ‘nobody.’ How could Stiles believe that?
That is all for 2024 my friends! Please remember to give kudos and leave comments for all our amazing Sterek writers. I know I'd be lost without you all. Thank you!

Birthday Celebrations (Teen Dad!OP81)
(Part 5 of my Teen Dad AU [can be read in any order])
Summary: The Piastri twins, with the help of their mom, try to make their Dad’s 23rd birthday as special as it can be. Warnings: I am currently pregaming a pregame so I am not writing this while sober. Also I decided to make this super fluffy because it only makes Tensions Rise so much sadder. A/N: Name reveal for the twins! Also this takes place before Tensions Rise, which originally took place at the Silverstone GP but I have changed it to Suzuka :)
6 am on April 6th, Honey woke up to her alarm. It was earlier than she would usually wake up. On most days, her 3 year olds woke her up at around 7:30, but today she decided to make sure she was waking up ahead of them, in order to intercept any attempts to wake up Oscar on his 23rd birthday.
She had finished decorating the kitchen when she heard tiny footsteps approaching. Two bleary-eyed toddlers entered the kitchen and looked around, eyes opening wide with a sort of wonder only young children seem to have, as they saw all the balloons and streamers around the room.
“Hi babies, are you excited for today?” Honey asked as she hugged each of her kids. Seeing the confusion appear on their faces, she added, “It's your dad’s birthday! And I think it's about time to wake him up. Are you both ready?”
She was met with enthusiastic nods and once promising that they would get the cake they so desired, she held both their hands as she quietly opened her bedroom door, letting the twins loose to wake their dad up.
Oscar had been blissfully asleep when he felt weight on him, suddenly throwing him out of sleep. Immediately concerned, he sat up with an impressive amount of swiftness before he realized it was his children sitting on top of him.
“Happy birthday Daddy!” They both screamed at the same time, immediately shoving the cards they had made him a few days prior in his face. They couldn’t write properly yet, so Honey transcribed what the scribbles meant in her much nicer handwriting below.
“Aw, thank you both. What a frightening but sweet way to wake up.” He said as he gave them both a kiss on the head. He then turned to Honey, who had let the toddlers get their moment with him. Kissing him passionately, the adults only stopped once they heard the ‘ew’s from their two kids.
“Happy birthday, darling.” She said as she handed him a jewelry box.
“I thought we said no gifts for holidays? That the money should go towards the kids?” Oscar asked as he held the box.
“That was when we were teens and you weren’t making F1 money.” She sassily replied.
Opening the box, he was confused when he saw two gold bands inside, a perfect fit for his and Honey’s ring fingers.
“Look at the engravings.” She quickly added. There, the names Frances and Hudson were engraved, the names belonging to the two kids sitting next to them on the bed. “I thought I would buy the bands ahead of time. I know we aren’t getting married for a bit but I really wanted to add their names to the inside and knew you aren’t big on getting gifts. Think of it as our first step towards our wedding” She rambled. She got nervous the longer he stared at the gift, was it too soon? Did he hate it?
“Honey, this is the sweetest thing ever.” He said as he began to tear up. They hadn’t started wedding planning, with how busy things had been, it seemed impossible to find the time. This was the first real step towards their forever. As he looked at them, it finally settled in how much he needed to marry her as soon as he could.
“God I can’t wait to marry you.” He whispered, more to himself than to her.
“I can’t wait to marry you too, Oscar. Now, let's go feed these hungry kids. I made special birthday pancakes.”

Christmas at the Compound
Avengers x reader
Summary: Avengers x reader Christmas head cannons because I am a sucker for the found family trope.
a/n: I tried to get this up before christmas but totally spaced it, so… tale it as a christmas morning gift! I tried to make it as age neutral as possible, so it could totally be teen!reader or not.
The holidays are a tough time for the Avengers.
Most of them have lost family members or friends, and the idea of celebrating anything is extremely difficult.
Tony especially - he always gets gloomy around the Holidays.
He always says something along the lines of, "I don't actually care about this, but its social convention."
But secretly he cares a lot.
He overcompensates for his lack of affection throughout the year by buying everyone the expensive gifts he knows they want but could never justify spending on themselves.
At surface level, it just seems like “oh rich guy is spending rich guy money”
But they’re actually really thoughtful gifts
Like last year, he got Peter a new laptop for school.
He bought Bucky new and thick clothes since all of his were old and worn.
He upgraded Clints cellular data so he could talk to his family anywhere.
Things like that.
Sam and Rhodey take one for the team and string the christmas lights on the tower
“It’s too cold for this.” Sam would complain, the sharp wind nipping at his cheeks as he flew from one end of the building to the other, lights in tow.
“Come one man, where’s your christmas spirit?” Rhodey would laugh
“I’m just doing this so stark’s power bill goes up.”
it really was worth it seeing the tower lit up top to bottom though
Wanda LIVES for commercialized American Christmas
"We have to make gingerbread houses and go to Rockefeller to see the Christmas tree and we have to go out to the snow and go sledding-"
She demands family Christmas photos be taken, even though you don't really have anyone to send them to.
This years theme was christmas pjs
Which lead to a few very interesting viral videos of the avengers in an Old Navy
“Tony come on the reindeer ones are cute!”
“Bruce. A man can not hold onto his masculinity while wearing pjs with dancing reindeer.”
Natasha gets tired of the bellyaching and bickering and makes the final decision
She grabs everyone’s size in the Reindeer pjs and marches to the front of the store
After snagging Tony’s credit card, of course.
Actually taking the picture is a whole other ball game, but that’s a story for another day
Thor has a hard time with the idea of Santa
You try to explain it to him, but it doesn’t seem to help
“So a fat man breaks into the safety of your home late into the night… and you let it happen because he comes baring gifts?”
“Well… yeah.”
“But only to nice children. That he stalks throughout the year.”
“He doesn’t stalk the children he just…”
“Hm.” He squints. “what about the naughty children?”
“They don’t get any presents.”
“OR,” Wanda interjects, “Krampus comes to get them.”
“Is that another fat man in a red disguise?”
“No. He’s a demon sent from hell to eat them.”
Thor nods in approval. “Ah. That’s much more asgardian. A fair reward system for the youth!”
You stare at him. “So… you’re okay with Krampus but not Santa?”
“Well I think they work together well, like a team. Like us!”
“I… I guess…”
Decorating the tree was an all night event
You would help happy bring up what felt like hundreds of boxes of christmas decorations
The tree itself was about 15 feet tall, because it wouldn’t be a holiday at the compound if you guys weren’t extra
It was placed in the living space, right next to a huge wall of windows so all of New York could see your festivity
it had to be decorated to the nines to pass Wanda’s inspection
Not a bare branch
Theres tinsel, ribbons, colorful lights, and hundreds of ornaments
But of course, ladders were a no go
You guys liked a challenge
To reach the higher branches, you and Natasha would stand on Steve and Buckys shoulders
And I mean stand
Not sit
It was a thrilling balancing game
You trusted them to catch you if you fell, but you still had to try to avoid it at all costs to save the tree from certain destruction
Peter would dangle from the ceiling, crawling around to hang ornaments toward the very top
Both of these acts nearly gave Bruce and Vision a heart attack
“CAP, you’re moving to fast shes gunna lose balance-“
“Bruce, please take a breath.”
Meanwhile Thor is getting distracted by all the ornaments and forgetting to actually hang them up
“This one’s a little man of snow! How silly!”
Speaking of ornaments
You all have an ornament of yourself on the tree
Or, your super hero alias at least
There’s a tiny black widow, a little iron man, a bity baby hulk, so on and so forth
Tony always demands his be the highest up on the tree to fuel his god complex
Drawing names out of a hat to see who got to put the star on top of the tree
(except you guys would always rig it behind Wanda’s back, only putting her name in the hat)
She would always protest, insisting to let someone else do it this year, but you guys never relented
So with a big cheesy grin on her face, she would use her magic to delicately place the star on the tippy top
You would think Natasha wouldn’t want to see the Nutcracker Ballet after her time in the red room
But it makes her so happy to see dancing as an art form instead of a way to brainwash young girls
She drags you, Clint, Wanda, and whoever else wants to tag along every year
She even splurges on front row seats
You look over and see her eyes glittering while she watches every turn, leap, and stunt intently
Leaving the theater, she’ll walk on her toes and do a few turns, encouraging you to try as well.
She ends up cackling watching you trip and stumble
“We’ll work on it.”
Can you IMAGINE the ginger bread making contest???
You’re all huddled around the long dining room table with christmas music playing
Theres Clint and Natasha, who just make the classic gingerbread house, no fancy bells or whistles.
Then there’s Bruce,Tony, and Peter who are going absolutely wild building gingerbread sky scrapers and gingerbread hotels.
“Mr. Stark look, I made a working elevator!”
Bruce puts an electric system (fairy lights) through his
Steve and Bucky rebuild their childhood homes
Wanda is going all out, delicately hand placing every candy and covering the whole thing in edible glitter
Visions is pretty similar, but more sleek and modern than Wanda’s
And then there’s Thor, who’s totally missing the point and just DUMPING everything on top
“Hey Peter, I think yours is missing something.”
You string a long thread of white rope candy from his structure to yours.
“Webs!”
“You know… we can probably make a web-like consistency with some starch and frosting…”
That becomes a whole sticky project, but you eventually get it to work, connecting everyone’s gingerbread houses with icing webs
Steve and Bucky are TOTALLY participating in the classic christmas traditions they grew up on.
They sit quietly together in the living room, making paper chains and stringing popcorn
“Do you mind if I join you guys?”
they smile gently. “Of course not.”
You sit crisscross in front of the couch while they teach you
They tell you stories of christmases long, long ago, which feels kinda silly considering they’re talking like grandpas while not appearing much older than you
On Christmas eve, you’re all there except for Clint, who went home to his family
Youre all dressed in your pajamas from the christmas card
You make hot coco and cider
Wanda pops in some old vhs tapes and you watch the classics late into the night
“Alright you nutcrackers,” tony would say around midnight. “I know you want to stay up and catch Santa, but he’s not coming if you all stay awake.”
he really just wanted to go to bed
He sauntered off, calling for lights out.
Most of the boys wandered away to their rooms, leaving you, Wanda, Nat and Thor not quite ready for sleep.
“So,” you ask, taking a sip of coco, “Do you guys think we’re on the naughty list?”
Natasha Chuckled. “I’m not sure. Does beating people up count as naughty if you’re taking down the bad guys?”
Thor set his mug down on the coffee table, the bells on his sweater jingling. “Do not fear ladies, I will catch that nasty Krampus if he comes in to devour your soul. I believe you were doing the right thing.”
You all laughed, thinking he was joking. But he just stared at you.
“Thor… you realize Krampus and Santa aren’t… real?” Wanda asked.
He had a hard time swallowing that.
He ended up sleeping on the couch “just in case”
you woke up at 3 am to a loud clattering coming from the living room
You decided to check it out against your better judgement
There was Thor. Hammer in one hand, cookie in another.
Down the hall toward the elevator was a completely destroyed life-size nutcracker.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“I thought I heard something by the elevator.”
“Congratulations. You murdered the Nutcracker.”
“I feared he was an accomplice of the holiday demon.”
“He’s been there for weeks!”
“He could have been a spy. Or possessed.”
“Goodnight Thor.”
Christmas Morning finally arrived
Everyone was sleeping soundly in their beds
Until Sam decided to be a little shit and wake everyone up at 7 am
He pounded on every. single. bedroom door.
“Y/NNNN. SANTA CAME TO TOWNNNNN.” he sing-songed
“No he didn’t.” You grumbled. “Thor killed him.”
“… I don’t know what that means.”
You all stumble out into the living room
Natasha took the time to actually run a brush through her hair and do her morning skincare
You and wanda were far too excited and skipped over that completely, barely remembering to brush your teeth
Tony looked the roughest - he had a silk robe draped over his pjs and looked like he was just awakened from a coma
Essentially, everyone was a little disheveled
Vision made everyone coffee before you started the gift exchange
You all sat around the coffee table in a circle so everyone could see each other
Bruce and Steve passed out the gifts from under the tree
it took a solid few minutes, there was a MOUNTAIN of presents
You went one at a time opening gifts
Some people think this is awkward, but you felt it was more genuine
this way, everyone can see the gift and the joy on the receivers face
as well as a million “thank you”s
It also gave time for the giver to explain why they chose the gift they did, whether it be something they remembered you said you wanted, something they knew you needed, or even just a simple “this made me think of you”
In the end, you loved all your gifts
And everyone loved what you got for them
But mostly, you were just happy to spend the holiday with your family

Alone Together feat. Dieter Bravo
Summary: Dieter is alone by his own doing for Christmas, and so are you.
Pairing: Dieter Bravo x f!reader | Rating: Teen but still MDNII | Word Count: 2,293
Content Warnings: the holiday morbs, Dieter being a jerk, wine consumption but no is drunk, brief mention of politics, referenced dislike of sappy holiday movies, black cats, kissing, mentions of sex but no smut (who am I?),
Author's Notes: hello beloved @rulexofxnines - it is I, your DB Brainrot Secret Santa! I do hope I met your request for holiday feels and our darling Dieter. Thanks to @sp00kymulderr for organizing!
Thanks to @strang3lov3 for her eyes, minds, thots and love - I wouldn't have had the gumption during this stressful holiday season to get this done without you. 🥩💜🐛 Thanks also to @saradika-graphics for the dividers.

Your neighbour was an asshole, that much was true. Belligerent to delivery workers, rude to his house staff… You even stood in your kitchen and watched him throw a boot at his most recent stylist as he chased them out of his front door.
In the year and a half that you’d been Dieter Bravo’s neighbour, he had done nothing to show you he was anything less than a douchecanoe. You’d made up your mind about him after your one and only one interaction; he was dragging his garbage can back from the curb and he gave you a once over and said, “Nice.” with a nod and gross smile. Your less-than-charitable facial expression in response was met with a scowled huff from him before he disappeared back into his house.
Sure, he was an actor who did walk on parts on primetime tv dramas now, but back in the day, he was more than a bit part. You wouldn’t have called yourself a fan, but you didn’t deny that he was attractive and a good actor… and even now, he was still attractive, even if the acting part wasn’t as true anymore.
The week earlier, you’d received a very fancy note telling you that while you weren’t invited, Dieter would be hosting a large, extravagant party on this day and he was only giving the neighbourhood a head’s up because his lawyer had told him to. Even if outwardly you were coldly ambivalent towards the note, you couldn’t deny the initial thrill you had when you thought it may actually be an invite followed by the immediate disappointment and deflation of your ego.
Even though he was an asshole, you still felt an inexplicable pull towards him. Little did you know that Dieter felt that same pull towards you.
He was painfully aware of the horrible first impression he’d left on you, and he knew you weren't immune to the stories that were told about him and his arrogance. A small part of him had wanted to reach out to you, but it was squashed each time you’d break eye contact with an eye roll or a slight grimace. As much as he felt that pull, he also felt irritated at your assumed uninterest in him, the Dieter Bravo.
You had both made assumptions about one another - some well informed while others were a bit more misguided - yet neither of you had the ability to not have your attention drawn to one another the moment you were in each other’s peripherals.
This was going to be your first christmas alone in your home. Last year, you’d opted to spend the holidays at your parents house with all of your family, but given the results of the recent election, you didn’t feel like hearing extended family’s opinions, and thusly, you were staying put. You’d decorated a small, counter top tree and splurged on a few gifts for you and your cats, VOID and Nugget, and you’d gotten a small chicken to roast like a turkey; you were set.
You began to settle in for a quiet Christmas Eve, even if you didn’t want to admit that you really weren’t digging the ‘alone for the holidays’ plans you’d made now nearly as much. Knowing that Dieter was hosting what you assumed would be a very large and noisy party, you had your wireless headphones charged, a ridiculous stockpile of Christmas cookies, and your appetizers in the air fryer; you were as ready as you could be for whatever your neighbour had in store for you.
A few hours and two really terrible Christmas movies later, you noted that there were no cars outside Dieter’s home, nor was there any noise. You’d not even bothered with your headphones - waiting until you actually needed them - and you hadn’t even needed to shut the blinds on the windows that faced his house.
It was weird. Quiet and weird.
You got up and looked out your kitchen window and what you saw almost broke your heart. There was Dieter, sitting with his head in his hands on his front steps alone. From your vantage point, you watched as he lifted his head and looked out into the dark street in front of him and sigh.
Your mind was suddenly at odds with itself. You could turn and go back to another crappy Christmas movie with your cats on the couch, or you could take the chance to fill the need for human connection on Christmas Eve with someone who could either accept or rudely deny you.
You chose the former, feeling that pull towards him again, and grabbed the big container of Christmas cookies, then headed out your front door.
Dieter’s head shot up as you approached him and the certainty you felt began to wither as his eyes locked on yours and all those memories of how terrible he could be started to force their way to the front of your mind, and your steps slowed.
“Hey… I-”
The loud, groaned sigh he let out interrupted you and you felt yourself shrink a bit. You couldn’t quite tell if the sound was born of irritation at your unsolicited arrival or embarrassment at being seen so dejected.
When he rolled his eyes and motioned towards the container in your hands, you had your answer.
“Oh, so you just thought you’d drop by even though you weren’t invited, huh?”, he scoffed sarcastically, but there was a sadness and a vulnerability lingering in the cold glare he gave you.
Your defences came up against your better judgement, and your eyes narrowed. All the holly jollies in your body evaporated, and you spat out, “The party, you mean? You mean the one that looks like no one showed up for?”
He frowned angrily and stood up, stepping towards you. This action alone made you feel a warmth bloom in your chest, but the moment his finger pointed at you sternly, that warmth at his proximity soured. Just as he was about to open his mouth, you shoved the container of cookies into his chest.
“Merry fuckin’ Christmas, asshole.”
You didn’t bother to wait for his response, instead opting to turn and storm back into your house and slam the door. You kicked off your boots, cursing him under your breath, at both him and his attitude and you and your conflicting feelings. You spooked your cats as you stomped into your kitchen and ripped open the fridge to grab your bottle of wine. Still muttering to yourself, you poured a glass and downed the whole thing in one go. As you were about to pour your second glass, there was a knock at the door.
You froze, mid-pour, almost overfilling your glass, feeling that warth fight to come to the surface and bleed all over you. Putting the bottle down and picking up your glass, you listened, then another knock happened. You knew it was him and, if you were honest, you were both elated at the idea he was seeking you out and terrified because you had shoved a plastic rubbermaid container into his chest and he could say it was assault and he could afford a better lawyer than you, and -
Another knock followed by, “Hello? I know you’re home.”
It was stupid but it was true. He knew you were home because he watched you go in, and you knew he knew that because you knew he watched you go in.
You sighed and put the glass down and went down to your door and opened it a crack.
“Yes, I am home.” Stupid. He knows you’re home, dumbass.
He moves closer to the door and leans his face closer to the opening. “Yeah. I know.” Jesus, his eyes are brown. And pretty. Shit.
You suck in a breath and snip back, “Yeah, I know you know.” He smells nice, too. Stop it.
You both stared at each other for a beat before he let out a breath and his shoulders dropped. His face looked as sad as his voice sounded. “I’m not an asshole.”
The look on your own face betrayed you with a perfect mix of confusion and sympathy and Dieter must have taken that as his in; he put his hand on your door and gently pushed it open, softly forcing you back. He stepped into your entryway enough to close the door behind him and he stood in front of you, container of cookies still in his grasp… in his large hands with thick fingers… shit shit shit! Stop it! It was then you noted how dressed up he was: a nice deep green velvet suit with matching tie and dress shirt. His hair was done and his patchy beard was cleaned up, and you noted the telltale marks on his lovely nose that said he’d been wearing glasses.
You suddenly realized how dry your mouth was, making your saliva thick. What was in this man’s cologne?
As you allowed your eyes to trial over him, he was doing the same, taking in your Christmas sweater with little skeletons in Santa hats on it. You had no makeup on and your hair was kind of a mess. You caught him looking you over and felt a wave of self-consciousness wash over you and looked away from him, clearing your throat.
“I’m not always an asshole.”, he said softly.
Your gaze snapped up to him once again, and you found your confidence in the vulnerability he was giving you in his own eyes. “Not always?”
A small smile tugged at one side of his mouth and he looked down at the container in his hands. “Yeah… just was a huge asshole without reprieve this year.”
You felt his words tug at your heart strings and you saw Dieter as he truly was - alone by his own doing.
“Want to come in for a drink? I have wine…”, you motioned your hand towards the few stairs up into the living room. He nodded and followed you.
It was now well past midnight, officially December 25th, and you and Dieter had been talking for hours. You had told him how lonely you were, living by yourself with your cats in a new city and far away from the comforts of familiarity.
He admitted he knew he was driving everyone out of his life, but he didn’t know how to stop it. Between the party being a failure and you calling him an asshole but still giving - albeit harshly - the cookies to him, he finally admitted to himself that he truly was alone, just like you.
“Why?”, you asked softly, placing your hand on his, and his other hand in turn covered yours.
“I don’t know… maybe I’m a narcissist or a sociopath… or had a bad childhood or too much money, I don’t know, but I do know that I don’t like where it got me.”
You nodded and he looked at you, a small smile on his lips. “You know, I always wanted to get to know you.”
“Yeah?” You couldn’t help but return the same smile.
“Yeah. I guess I was just used to people coming to me and when you didn’t, I-”, he shrugged. “I guess I figured you’d rather be alone than get to know me.”
You looked at him, feeling a pang of guilt at his softness in the moment. You opened your mouth to speak but whatever you were going to say was caught in your throat when his hand came up to your cheek. His big brown eyes bored into yours and his face came closer.
His voice was soft and his eyes flicked down to your lips before coming back. “I think you and I, we could maybe make being alone together a thing.”
You nodded and Dieter leaned in and kissed you. Softly, almost tentatively, as if he was waiting for your cue to delve deeper. As soon as you opened your lips slightly in the kiss, Dieter took his chance.
“Hon - you ready? Guests are showing up in ten minutes!”, you called up the stairs.
Dieter appeared at the top, his shirt unbuttoned and his hair in clips as the style set. “I’m - ten minutes? Really?”
You nodded with a smile and he ran back into the bedroom to finish getting ready.
The past year had been nothing short of an R-rated Hallmark Holiday movie. Dieter and you had moved fast in your relationship, sex that very first night had entwined you two together, and neither of you were willing to try anything less than full throttle and you’d moved in with him after less than three months of dating. You had both felt like this was meant to be and his ego and your first impressions of him had delayed the inevitable, and now you were making up for lost time.
Dieter had started to try and mend the broken relationships - some successful, others not - and you felt he had taken every rejection as gracefully as he received forgiveness. It had taken some convincing on your part to get him to agree to try hosting another Christmas Eve party, but here you were, readying the house and hoping for a good turnout.
A few hours into the party, You watched as Dieter moved through the room, smile on his face as he greeted each guest, noting his hand in his pocket, but not giving it another thought.
Dieter caught glimpses of you as he chatted and talked with the people in the room, his fingers deftly playing with the ring he was going to give you at midnight in his pocket. He wanted to officially make sure you knew you would never be alone again.

Happy Holiday season from all the members at @profoundbondfanfic!
-Part 1 of 5-
Christmas Spirit by MalicMalic (Explicit, 3k words)
It's the afterlife and Dean can finally have everything he wants.
Hanukkahn't Resist You by almaasi (General audiences, 2k words)
Dean made a Hanukkah greeting card for Cas, his fellow teacher and major crush. The card is also a pun. And also a pick-up line. And also maybe a mistake.
Hot Snow Angel by DoctorProfessorSong (Explicit, 23k words)
So you know that absolutely unhinged Netflix holiday movie featuring Lacey Chabert and a sentient snowman played by the actor who was Corbett in Ghostfacers? I saw the preview and immediately said: Dean Winchester would be a snowman fucker. A Destiel Christmas rom com. Come for the crack, stay for the feels.
Sugar Cookies and Mistletoe Kisses by Briston, Whitster_lizzy (Teen and Up, 10k words)
A little too much tequila at a Christmas party leaves Dean with a foggy memory. No one will tell him what happened and Cas can barely look him in the eye. Can Dean salvage their friendship before it's too late?
The Bad Santa Clause by Castielslostwings, jscribbles, MalMuses, pingnova, sobsicles (Explicit, 74k words)
A quiet pre-Christmas hunt goes horribly wrong for the Winchesters, Castiel, and Jack when Dean accidentally murders Santa Claus. Ho ho ho, bitches. A seasonal canon collab loosely based on The Santa Clause.
The Christmas Angel by FriendofCarlotta (Teen and Up, 7k words)
One lonely Christmas, Dean picks up an ornament: a small angel that reminds him of his mother. Over the years, the ornament becomes a fixture of his life, keeping him company through many difficult years. For Castiel, the ornament takes on its own meaning - a reminder of the sort of life he wants and can never have. Will the Christmas angel ever get a chance to take its rightful place at the top of a family tree?
The Morning After by Dancingdog (Explicit, 67k words)
'Twas the morning after Christmas and to Dean's surprise, He'd slept with a vampire, with mortified blue eyes...
The Waiter and the Businessman by followyourenergy (General Audiences, 4k words)
Dean Winchester, CEO, frequents the diner on the corner of Main and South for lots of reasons: pie, the jukebox that plays 80s music, and Castiel, the sweet, handsome waiter who always has time for Dean. When he sees Castiel unexpectedly on Christmas Day, he learns more about the quiet man… and receives two precious gifts that money could never buy.

Hey, earlier I was suprised to find theres no Christmas themed slashers x reader so could I request just that with the reader and the slashers separately decorating, baking, movies, opening gifts etc? Thx
Slashers Doing Christmas Activities with Reader
A/N: You're so right about not having any Christmas themed Slasher fics! I was thinking about coming up with a Christmas prompt list for the Gotham and Slasher fanatics. If any of you reading this would like a prompt list, let me know!
Freddy Krueger
He's been ready for Christmas all year
I mean, have you seen his sweater?
He knows you've been excited too
So what better way to celebrate than to decorate?
And decorating with Freddy is unlike any other
He can create literal worlds for you
You want 50 Christmas trees in the living room? Sure thing
You want actual elves helping you out around the house? Coming right up!
Plus, Freddy isn't much for decor, so he gives you free reign on doing whatever you want
He most definitely will joke around with you though
He'll change the gold lights to red or have "Santa Clause" tied up in the corner of the room next time you visit
It's all in good fun, of course
You punish him by forcing a Santa hat on his head
Michael Myers
The only "good" holiday to Michael is Halloween
What's the point of Christmas anyways?
Show joy to others and share kindness?
Gross
But he's with you now, so he has to make you happy in some way or another
When you suggest decorating the house, he just sort of gives you that dead stare
But he doesn't disagree
He watches you hang lights up and set up little trinkets everywhere
He will help you with the heavy lifting or anything that involves being really tall
Silently complains about carrying an actual tree into the house though
He doesn't really get the Christmas joy at all, but if it makes you happy, then so be it
Jason Voorhees
Jason's love for Christmas has never truly gone away
In fact, he really appreciates this time of year since there are less run in's with rowdy teens during the winter
So when you suggest a Christmas movie night cuddling together, he's all in
Of course, you watch the films you both remember from childhood
But you also decide to introduce him to the world of Hallmark movies
Unsurprisingly, Jason has a thing for cheesy romance films
But something about the snow falling outside in the woods while a warm fire burns in the fireplace makes Jason feel all giddy
Even a slasher can't escape the joy of Christmas
Thomas Hewitt
One of Thomas's favorite things to do during the holiday season is to decorate the tree!
It's one of the small childhood memories he holds onto, and he's very excited to make new memories with you
He happily carries in the tree, refusing to let you do any of the lifting
And once it's set up, you both are digging through old bins to find ornaments and lights to hang up
You both even make your own special ornament to put on the tree!
And once it's all set up, he lifts you up so you can put the star on top
You both end up turning off all the lights in order to just admire the tree better, just casually chit chatting and sharing festive chocolates
Bubba Sawyer
It's surprisingly his idea to bake a bunch of Christmas treats!
He got so many ingredients
Cookies, cupcakes, pies, if you can think of it, Bubba wants to make it
Of course, there's traditional Christmas music playing in the background
Bubba goes a little crazy with the sprinkles
By the end of everything, the kitchen looks like a war zone
But with everything baking, the house smells amazing
Instead of dinner, you both eat your treats
Bubba has a sugar rush and ends up excitedly bouncing off the walls
You both end up crashing on the couch on top of one another
Brahms Heelshire
Brahms loves Christmas
He has several classical records of Christmas music that he likes to play throughout the month
He has you help him dig out the old decorations he hasn't touched in years
You almost feel weird touching them since each ornament is worth $100 or more
But you and Brahms do have fun setting up the tree and putting the pretty lights everywhere
He also finds some old books he used to read as a child
You both read the Christmas stories together, sharing nostalgic memories of what the holidays were like when you were both younger
It's just a very sweet and wholesome night
Norman Bates
One day, the living is as cozy and cute as normal
The next day, it's suddenly decked out in lights, candles, and a huge Christmas tree with several pristine gifts under it
You mouth was agape
Norman just stood back with an innocent smile on his face
You had no idea he would do all of this while you were out
But thankfully, you had a few gifts wrapped up for him too
With a lighthearted Christmas show playing in the background, you and Norman swap gifts and open them together
The home is filled with surprised laughter and "thank you's" as you both look at what was given
You two know each other so well
He must have been Santa since he literally got you everything on your list
Billy Loomis
Yep, you guessed it
Christmas slasher films
But of course, Billy knows that watching horror films 24/7 every holiday isn't exactly the ideal celebration
So he tries to balance it out
Buys (steals) several expensive gifts for you and wraps them up
He even buys a few candles in your favorite scent to help make the mood more festive
Orders take out for you both as well
This makes the movie marathon feel more special
He MIGHT even let you talk him into matching pajamas
He complains but secretly loves it
Stu Macher
Buys you two matching onesies
He also finds a homemade hot cocoa recipe he wants to try out
He does accidentally burn himself, but it doesn't change his mood any
He might not love this holiday as much as Halloween, but it is a VERY close second
He also manages to find the largest Christmas tree you have ever seen
It barely fits in the house
But when it comes to Stu, everything needs to be extra
You both spend the night flipping back and forth between lighthearted Christmas films and cheesy horror ones
Eric Draven
Christmas has always been a favorite for Eric
It's the one day a year where things are a bit calmer, and he gets to spend it lounging around with you
He definitely made Christmas into a week long event by giving you a different gift each day
Cooks you breakfast in bed
Is somehow even more affectionate during this time
Refusing to decorate the tree unless you are doing it with him
Finds a little Santa hat for Gabriel
He literally just spends the majority of the holiday being lazy and cuddly with you
Not that you're complaining

Heyyyy love!
I know you’ve probably been busy but could we get a new Christmas Timmy fic or series whatever you want!
Of course only if you can and want.
Thanks love!
A Love Story for Christmas-Part One//t.c.
Thank you for the request, anon! You’re so sweet! @thebetawolfgirl and I went a little (or a lot) hallmark on this one.
You had to admit that it was quite relaxing to return to your small hometown for the holidays, especially since you had been living in the city for so many years. You couldn't believe how familiar this place felt. It was also bittersweet, this being your first holiday season since your mother passed away.
Sadly, you had grown apart from your mother before she had gotten sick. But you remembered that one of her favorite places to go in town was the local bookstore. One thing you knew best about your mom was she was an avid reader. It was always a safe bet to buy her a book for any gifting occasion.
You were desperate to feel closer to her, so your plan for the day was to visit the bookstore. You hadn't been since you were a kid. You never even got to purchase a book from there. But hey, you moved away when you were only ten years old. It was hard to remember life before the big move.
It seemed they had kept the name Reader's Realm but updated the sign. The storefront looked really sweet and quaint. The instant you stepped through the threshold and heard the tiny ding of the doorbell; it was like stepping back in time. Nothing about the place had changed. It was just as clean and cozy as you remembered. And it was decorated for the Christmas holiday, so the touches of red and green and the glow of the Christmas tree in the front window really added in the right amount of nostalgia that you were seeking.
The bookstore itself seemed much smaller, though. It's funny how some places seem so big and vast when you're a kid. You used to think that there were millions and millions of books in the place, but really it was only a few hundred, a thousand, at most.
The bookstore was nearly empty of people, so you were able to slowly stroll through the aisles. After a couple of minutes, you heard a set of wheels rolling on the floor and the squeaking of a metal cart being pushed around.
The man driving the cart was tall, and he had pale, porcelain skin and dark, short hair that drooped with rich curls on top of his head. He was really cute, like a heartthrob on one of the teen magazines you used to thumb through.
You weren’t expecting to see someone so attractive. You blushed, trying not to stare, trying to browse the books on the shelves, but he was awfully distracting.
The clinking of the wheels stopped, and the young man saw you, "Oh, hello. I didn't realize anyone was in here; I didn't even hear the bell."
You looked over at him, he had a friendly grin. You noticed a light mustache and a dusting of a goatee on his chin. "Hi, yes I just popped in. You work here?" Damn it, y/n, ask a more stupid question, would you?
"Ugh, yeah, I'm actually the owner." he said, parking the cart to the side to allow you space to pass. "I'm Timothee, but you can call me Timmy."
"Oh, the owner? That's pretty cool." You were genuinely impressed, he seemed to be about your age, so to own a business was quite a feat.
"Yeah, I guess so." he said, grabbing some books to place on the shelves. "It was my grandfather's business, but he passed away a couple years ago and the bookstore was left to me."
"Aw, I'm sorry for your loss. My mother just recently passed, so I know how you must feel." you said, no longer browsing as you found yourself just watching him work.
Timmy was crouched down, shuffling some books around on a bottom shelf, "Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I bet this holiday season is hard for you." He looked up at you, his eyes looking like a puppy.
It was then that you saw how broad his shoulders were. He wasn't a large man or buff by any means, but he was lean and sexy. And he had the most incredible bone structure, like he was hand carved, just for you. You weren't thinking about your mother at all.
"Yeah," you cleared your throat, "it's my first Christmas without her. I don't really know what to do. That's kinda why I came here. This was one of her favorite places to be."
"Oh? So, your mom was from here?"
"Yes, technically I am too. But we moved to the city when I was ten. I haven't been back since. My mom loved to buy books and read them here. She used to say, 'There's no place like Reader's Realm.'"
Timmy had a little grin at that, "Well, I hope this place can bring you some comfort while you're here. I don't want to bother you, so I'll leave you to it, but if I can help you with anything, please let me know." he smiled kindly, taking his cart of books away to another aisle.
"Okay, great thank you." You returned a smile. You tried not to blush as you continued shopping the books. As you picked up one to read the synopsis on the back here and there, you could not get Timmy off your mind. You came into the bookstore in hopes of feeling your mother's presence, but this beautiful stranger was now at the forefront.
Then, a wild thought came to you: was he sent by your mom, perhaps? For the rest of your shopping trip, you could not shake the feeling. You noticed that he wasn't wearing a wedding band. Maybe he was single? You tried to not burst with giddiness. Should you engage with Timmy more? Maybe even ask him to go out for coffee? At least try and get his phone number, right?
You carried your handful of books for purchase up to the front counter, where Timmy was standing at the computer, reading something on the monitor screen. He perked up and looked at you with bright eyes as he heard your footsteps coming toward him.
"Find everything you needed?" he asked as you gently sat your books on the counter.
"Yes, thank you." you smiled.
"Good," he grabbed your books, scanning them one by one, "I'm sure you found your books easily, but I truly meant: was the store everything you remembered, I mean, was your mom with you today?"
Your heart melted, it was like he knew exactly what to say and he cared, sincerely. "Oh, yes, I definitely felt her in this place."
"That's awesome. I'm really glad that you could feel such a comfort in my place." He started to bag up your books. "I wish it was moments like this that paid the bills, because then I'd be able to stay in business passed the holidays."
You frowned, you really weren't expecting to hear this. There's no way that your sweet little hometown bookstore could be going out of business!
to be continued...

In Need Of Help
This is not the predicament you had been expecting to find yourself in when you’d made plans to spend Christmas with your parents in the suburbs. The worst thing you could have imagined happening would have been your much younger siblings causing bruises as they excitedly climbed on you - their big sister - instead you found yourself with your phone in your hand, scrolling through your contacts from high school to figure out who you could call as this was a problem you couldn’t fix on your own and was certainly not one you could ask your parents with.
When your best friend handed you your Christmas gift before you’d left, she had a shit eating grin on her face and simply said ‘don’t open it in front of your family’. It was only when you’d been sorting through your bag towards the end of your stay you’d found the forgotten gift and unwrapped it, almost dropping it when you saw the silver plug shining in the discrete velvet box, a small package of lube tucked in next to it. A note in your friend’s handwriting was tucked into the lid; ‘you need to open your horizons’.
“Yeah, we’ll I've got to open my asshole first it would seem” you muttered to yourself, your thoughts interrupted by your Mom as she called up to you.
“We’re going now, enjoy the peace and quiet!”
That had been an hour ago, and now as your parents had taken your younger siblings to their post Christmas gymnastics lesson you’d stayed home, and after a restless half hour of attempting to read or enjoy your other seasonal gifts, you’d found yourself in your bedroom with the plug. You were horny. The walls of your parents' home were thin, so you hadn’t had a chance to use the small vibrator you’d optimistically packed, and had settled down with your kindle and some of the spicy titles you’d downloaded. A brief moment of misplaced confidence and that was how you found yourself in your predicament; the plug was stuck.
At first you’d enjoyed the sensation, having gone slowly with a small amount of lube, but you’d shifted on the bed to get more comfortable but it’d had the opposite effect. Deciding it was time to remove it you’d stretched, twisted and tried, but no matter what you attempted your ass was not giving up its new decoration.
So this is where you were, in need of help. Shutting your phone down you sighed, not a single one of your local contacts was someone who you’d feel comfortable approaching with such a matter, those that had stayed in town seemed the most vanilla type of people possible. You couldn’t even call your best friend as you knew she was on duty as a flight attendant, probably somewhere 40,000ft in the air right at this moment. Standing in your room you glanced out of the window and a thought came to you. Chewing on your lip you considered your options, before pulling your woollen socks further up your legs so your knitted dress covered the tops of them, sliding on your boots and making your way out of the house.
-
Your parents had conceived you early, whilst they were in high school, and against the odds had made a teen pregnancy work. Married fresh out of high school they had taken turns to go to local community college whilst raising a small child, only expanding their family once you headed off to college, and now you had twin sisters who were almost a generation younger than you. It also meant that the ages of your friends and the ages of your parents' friends would intersect in the middle. One friend in particular of your parents was their next door neighbour, August Walker.
Mr Walker, or August as he’d insisted you’d call him, was smack bang in the middle of the age bracket between you and your parents, and although your father’s friend, he was known to throw a wink at you now and again when your parents weren’t looking. When you’d visited for 4th of July you’d be bending over in a short sundress to unload the dishwasher, when you’d turned around and saw him paused at the door to the kitchen. A smirk and a wink, he’d started to approach you when your Dad had called out to you, and with another wink he’d discretely adjusted himself before disappearing back to the party.
As you crossed the short path between houses you did your best not to slip over on the snow, the last thing you needed to happen was to fall on your ass, especially considering your current ass-based issue.
When he opened the door he briefly looked surprised, before a small smile crossed his face;
“Hi, what can I do for you?”
Shivering on the doorstep you hugged yourself tightly, your shivering more from nerves than the cold;
“Umm… can I come in, please?”
-
Ten minutes later you were stood beside the sleek marble kitchen island, August pushing a strong drink across the counter for you to take;
“Thanks”
Rather than staying on the opposite side of the island, August circled around with his glass of whiskey before he stood in front of you. Placing his glass on the counter he rested both of his hands on your upper arms, softly rubbing as he spoke;
“Thank you for coming to me with this. You’re a beautiful girl and i wouldn’t want anything to happen to you”
“August, I’m not a girl, I’m 25” you corrected, slightly annoyed that he called you a girl; “And currently have a buttplug stuck in my ass”
“And we’ll get that sorted. Lots of first times can be embarrassing or tricky”
“It’s not my ‘first time’, i’ve fucked before”
He hooked his finger beneath your chin, guiding your head slightly so you could meet his intense gaze;
“I don’t doubt that, I meant the first time with something in your ass” he said with a slight chuckle.
“So umm… how are we… Are you going to do this? Should I just bend over or…?”
Wrapping his arms around you he pulled you to his chest and pressed a kiss to the top of your head;
“Oh Princess, no. No we’re not. You need to relax, as you’re no doubt wound so tight right about now that nothing is gonna go in or out of that ass”
You let out a sigh, inhaling his aftershave as your face was pressed to his chest, the soft knit shirt warm and comforting. After a few moments you pushed back and looked August in the face, for the first time noticing how his left eye had a little patch of brown in the iris among the icy blue. You were lost in your own mind when you realised he’d been saying something;
“I’m sorry, what did you say?”
“I said, let's get started”
He slipped his hand into yours but you didn’t make a move;
“How are we going to do this?”
He sighed before stepping back towards you;
“Believe it or not Princess, this isn’t my first rodeo with a lovely young lady being a little over confident with their butt. First and foremost you need to relax, and i don’t mean mentally, i mean physically. You need to relax all your pelvic muscles…”
“Ok…”
“And the easiest way to do that is arousal”
You paused, taking in the reality of what you were about to do
“I see. And you’ll…”
“Help. In any way you need me to”
-
August had led you through his house to his bedroom which was exactly as you’d been expecting; simple dark tones, dark bedding, low lighting. The windows overlooked the wooded shore of the lake, the opposite direction from your parents house. The sense of privacy was comforting, and yet as August shut the door you felt a sense that you were way out of your depth. Crossing the room he stood in front of you, again resting his palms on your upper arms;
“So, what would you like?”
Taking a deep breath you could feel your voice waiver a little;
“I want you to take charge please, August”
He let out an appreciative hum before hooking his knuckle beneath your chin to turn your face to him before kissing you. What started as a small gentle touch of his lips soon developed into more, and before long your arms were around his shoulders as his tongue pushed into your mouth, tasting you as you were pliable in his grasp. He slowly pulled at your sweater dress until it was at your chest, breaking the kiss;
“Lift your arms Princess”
Doing as he told you, he lifted the garment all the way off, taking a moment to appreciate the way your bra cupped your breasts.His gaze travelled further down and smiled at the Christmas print cotton thong;
“Mmm, turn around” he instructed, his voice low
Slowly turning, your socks smooth on the thick pile carpet of his bedroom, when your ass was facing him he rested a hand on your shoulder;
“Hands on the bed”
Leaning forwards a little you set your palms onto the black comforter that was neatly folded on the high bed. You felt as he held your buttocks in his massive hands, warming the skin with his palms before pulling your cheeks apart a little and letting out a long slow breath;
“Now that is one of the prettiest sights i’ve seen”
You let out a small squeak as his hand slid between your legs, his thumb barely grazing against the plug as his fingers worked between your folds, grunting as he found you already soaked. Tenderly his fingers explored your folds, his other hand wrapping around your torso and pulled you up to stand, cupping your chin to turn your head so he could kiss you as his fingers worked between your thighs.
As his fingers pushed further you broke the kiss, panting out as you instinctively rose up onto your toes, your back supported against August’s chest.
“Such a good girl, so wet and tight, your pussy is begging for another finger, isn’t it?”
“Yes August, please”
With another low hum of appreciation he shifted his hand to allow a second finger slide into your eager hole, his breath hot on your face as he worked your body until you were rocking against his hand, eager for release. Your sighs and moans were an easy indication that you were close.
“It’s time to cum Princess, cum for me”
Your mouth fell into a silent O as you came, your hands clinging to August’s strong forearm that sat across your torso, your body shaking as he held you tight and let you ride out your orgasm on his hand.
Eventually he pulled his hand away, and as you turned slightly you watched as he sucked two fingers into his mouth, sucking your slick juices from them;
“Delicious. Now, on the bed, on your hands and knees”
He swatted a light slap on your ass, to which you let out a little yelp before you did as he asked, settling on the high bed, your ass towards him.
“Now, let's have a good look here” he muttered to himself, smoothing his palms over your cheeks to pull them apart and take a look at the prize between them. Hooking your thong panties to one side he tenderly ran his finger through your folds and up to your ass, around the jewelled flared base before grasping it and giving it a little tug.
“Hmm, still tightly in there. How much lube did you use?”
“Just… Just a little bit”
He sucked in air through his teeth;
“Tut tut tut, No, with anything butt related you use a ton of lube. Copious amounts, it needs to be wetter than a slip and slide in a thunderstorm. Stay there.”
You heard him moving around the room before quickly returning to you, his warm hand on your ass again, this time carefully pulling your panties down until they sat around your thighs. The soft click of a capped bottle broke the silence before you felt a cold drip of something viscous land on your ass near to the plug, soon followed by the warm touch of his finger spreading the lube around the base of the plug;
“We’ll need to work the lube in around your little decoration Princess. No no, I can feel you tensing up again, relax…”
“That’s easy for you to say, you’re not the one with something stuck in your ass”
“How do you know I haven't?”
You whipped your head around in shock, only to be greeted with August’s now tell tale smirk. Narrowing your gaze you glared at him;
“Kinky”
“Yup. Now get back into position”
He pressed a hand to your shoulder blades, pushing you down until your chest was resting on the comforter;
“Time to get you relaxed again”
With your vision now obscured you could only feel what he was doing, the soft furnishings muting his movements, so you were shocked when you felt something warm and wet slide through your folds, followed by the rough brush of facial hair against your labia;
“Oh oooh god”
August set off at a brisk pace, his tongue working against your cunt to the point you barely noticed his fingers working around the plug, only realising something was amiss when you felt the definite stretch of a finger sliding in alongside the plug. The movement was a foreign feeling, but as his tongue delved further into your soaked hole you started to enjoy the feeling, your moans and sighs increasing until you could feel the start of an orgasm building in the pit of your stomach;
“Please… please, so good, more… please August…”
He didn’t reply, one hand now firmly gripped on your hip whilst the other worked at the plug, his mouth all but buried in your pussy until you came with a cry of his name, shuddering as your body was rocked with a strong orgasm, cumming on his face until you slumped forwards and lay twitching on the soft covers of his bed.
As the world came back into focus you saw August moving at the foot of the bed, a soft cloth in his hand before he pressed it to your buttocks;
“Sorry, there was a bit more lube than we needed”
It took a couple of seconds to register, but when it did your eyes went wide and you stretched a hand to your ass, only to find the unwanted decoration now missing from its prison;
“You got the plug out!”
“Hmmm mmm” he hummed, looking down at you as your hands explored your naked below the waist body, running his own hand over the obscene bulge now in his pants. In a moment of confidence you moved forward, resting carefully on the edge of the bed before reaching a hand out to palm over the bulge alongside his own much larger hand;
“I should thank you for your help” you said coyly, looking up through your lashes as you moved to tug the zipper down.
August cupped your chin;
“Do you think you can handle me? You ever been with an older man?”
“Dude, you’re seven years old, eight at most depending on what month”
He just smirked at your response, instead picking you up and softly tossing you on to his bed;
“Lets apart, I want to see that pussy”
You did as he asked as he stripped, and you were transfixed by his body. Thick with muscle his chest was covered in a thick layer of hair that ran down to his stomach and dick. Speaking of which he was rock hard and girthy, patterned with veins. You licked your lips as you watched him roll a condom down before climbing into the bed.
He kissed his way up your body before settling between your thighs, pressing a kiss to your lips before he suddenly turned the pair of you so you were on top and straddling his stomach;
“You’re gonna show me just how much of a big girl you are Princess, I’m gonna let you ride me, see how much of me you can take”
“You want me to…?! Oh god…”
Pushing yourself up on your knees you took a deep breath and looked down at the monster standing proud beneath you. Reaching out to hold it you positioned him at your entrance before pushing down, feeling him breach your body. Resting the palms of your hands on his stomach you shut your eyes and rocked up and down a little, easing your way a little further each time until you heard him grunt;
“Doing well Princess”
In a moment of bravery - or perhaps stupidity - you rose and then fell all the way, taking him as deep as you could. Both of you let out curse words as your bodies grew accustomed to the size and tightness, trembling as you urged your body to relax until you were confident enough to start rocking your hips just a little.
“You’re so big August…” you praised, riding him with your eyes closed so you could focus on the stretch and pull every time.
He didn’t respond, and when you opened your eyes you saw his were wide open, jaw slack as he watched where your bodies were joined;
“Your cunt looks so perfect stretching around me. I know you’re struggling to take me, you can do it… ride me Princess”
With renewed vigour and confidence you rode him like he was a pony ride at your 10th birthday, grinding your hips down so your clit rubbed against the root of his shaft, bringing you closer to another orgasm. You felt his hand grip your thighs then hips, pulling you down to meet his upwards thrusts and you could tell he was getting close. You quickly moved your hand to your pussy, rubbing your clit;
“Cum for me August, let me feel you inside me. You needn’t have worn the condom, i’m on the pill and tested…”
He suddenly pushed you up, pulling the condom off and tossing it aside before pulling you straight back down again onto his cock. The groan you both let out as you felt skin on skin filled the room;
“Oh fuck, i’m gonna cum, your cunt feels too good”
Your orgasm surged through you as you felt August filling you with his creamy seed, pumping you full as you trembled around him. As your throes of passion subsided you collapsed on his chest, sated and full.
-
“It was so good of you to show my girl how to stop that hacker getting into her phone” you Dad said, clapping a hand over August’s shoulder as he stood in your parents kitchen.
After what had happened you’d had to think of an excuse as your parents had seen you crossing the snowy lawn to which you’d had to come up with something quick as an excuse. That was how you found yourself standing in your parents kitchen listen to August make up a very plausible scenario, whilst his cum slowly dripped down your inner thigh.
“Hey, did she tell you she got a paid internship?” your Dad’s question to August pulled you out of your daze.
“No, where is that then?” August asked animatedly
“Some big law firm in the city”
“Oh really?”
“Where was it sweetie?” your Dad pushed
“Syverson, Marshall & Walker Associates”
“Ohhh really…” August nodded, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth
Your Dad missed the expression on August’s face, wrapping his arm around your shoulders;
“Yup, my little girl is all grown up now, playing with the big boys”
August smiled;
“Sounds like a dream come true”
You were completely unaware of just who your bosses come Monday would be.

MOONLIGHT LOVERS CHRISTMAS HEADCANONS!
♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: The first time celebrating Christmas in the mansion! Individual, long headcanons, routes x reader (not Neil I'm sorry, I have personal issues to write for this man) ↝ 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: Merry Christmas! I wish you lots of happiness for these holidays and please stay safe. There might be misspellings, mb I did this quickly ily all.
♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•. ♪¸¸.•*¨*•.
AARON
He has never considered Christmas as something that was very relevant. He has celebrated it with his mother, and even though they were happy together, he was always anxious about how his father would be and whether he would return or not. Aaron does not consider Christmas as something happy. Some people spend it all alone and the wild animals are the ones having a harder time with such low temperatures.
At the mansion, Ethan, Ivan and Beliath are the ones who bring the Christmas spirit, but Vladimir has always cut off their enthusiasm. Once you arrived and expressed your desire to celebrate it, oh, Aaron didn't hesitate for a second to talk with Vladimir and convince him to do something for Christmas.
He gladly helps with the decorations and the Christmas tree. He’d tell you to go do another thing to not tire yourself, but if you insist with helping, he will make sure you don’t get yourself injured. At some point he’d grab your waist and carry you so you reach higher spots for decoration.
Don’t let this man enter the kitchen during the Christmas noon as Vladimir is cooking the dinner because he will certainly steal some food.
Aaron will probably invite random wild animals into the mansion so they do not freeze. (Vlad won’t be happy about it)
He dislikes snow and definitely prefers to stay inside, cuddling with you under the blanket and in front of the fire. But whenever it’s not snowing, he might accept to go visit the Christmas market!
He would buy you whatever you wanted if he wasn’t so broke. But will consent you with any pastries, a cheap necklace or ring you want! He’d feel bad if you left the Christmas market without trying anything.
Aaron adores how everyone seems to get along in the mansion during the Christmas dinner. He’s even more open to do jokes and explain stuff knowing there will be good vibes.
He compliments at any second he can about how good you look during your Christmas dinner outfit. Aaron might look at you with a lovesick smile without even realizing. He might be such a gentleman during that night (plus he considers you’re the best gift he could get for this celebration!).
He’s not good at all at gifting. And knowing how honest he is, he probably asked you about the stuff you needed so he could gift you most of those things (plus his kisses might be considered another gift)
He accepts wearing the typical Christmas sweaters only because you and Ivan insisted a lot. He doesn’t feel ashamed though.
Next morning he will try to convince everyone to go get churros with hot chocolate.
BELIATH
December equals to Christmas for him. Every. Single. Day. He LOVES the Christmas spirit in the city, and it is one of the things he had loved about humans the most; their adorable excitement for this season.
And the moment he finds out you’d like to celebrate Christmas with them his heart quite melts inside his chest. “Oh, really? You’re so cuuuute,” and a great smooch to your forehead, “let’s perturb Vladimir then.”
As he is decorating the mansion he is definitely singing to Christmas songs. And he will incite you to sing with him.
When he places the mistletoe in the doorway between the kitchen and the big living room, he might casually drag you there and play like he didn’t know the mistletoe was right on top of you… “My my, looks like we are under the mistletoe…” and giggles like a dumb teen. (He simply wants to kiss you)
He will purposely stop under any mistletoe of the city to kiss you.
He is the one in charge to do Christmas parties in home.
Obviously the Christmas day will be reserved only for the family (the other guys and you), and then moondance time! You’re invited ofc.
He’s very original with his Christmas dinner outfit. He REFUSES to wear any kind of ugly sweater, I’m sorry. Yet he braids his hair with some fancy accessories for hair (Christmas themed because he needs to fit the mood) He might find some elegant red pants and a stylish black shirt with a red tie. He truly thinks he ate with that outfit. And please tell him he did.
Vladimir has hit Beliath with his cane several times because he decides to play All I want for Christmas is you in a freaking loop randomly.
Beliath finds excitement in baking Christmas cookies but might end up causing a great disaster. Not because the cookies were burnt, but because the cookies didn’t even have any sort of healthy cookie appearance. They looked poisonous.
He is very good at picking gifts for everyone. He is very observant and knows what people need and want, so he makes mind-lists. A great plan for you two is to go shopping together!
The most elaborated gift will be yours. You’re very special to him and he won’t only buy anything you need but will also consent you with silly little things.
And no, he’s not rich. He also uses his power in stores to make everyone believe he had paid for so many things.
RAPHAEL
He has a good memory of Christmas and actually likes this season due to how families seem to be more joined. And not going to lie he had wished to feel a sense of familiarity with the vampires at least once. He would like to see Beliath and Vladimir in the same place having fun, he would like to see Ivan and Ethan able to keep a decent and friendly conversation.
It was Raphael’s excitement for your request of celebrating Christmas that made Vladimir accept it. And Raphael was so grateful with you!
Raphael can’t help much with the decoration, but he can yap about Christmas’ lore. He can also help by giving his opinion about the food to Vladimir (he’d advise him if it needs more salt, if it is burnt…)
He walks around the whole mansion with a blanket around his shoulders as if he was the king of a nation. He doesn’t like coldness and searches warmth whenever he has the chance, snuggling to you when you’re close to him. He also glues to Vladimir by accident just for warmth, even though the British vamp doesn’t complain (he knows that Raphael’s sensitive to coldness)
Drinks too much during the Christmas dinner that he is more talkative than usual. He might have his cheeks completely red and would be smiling more than usual. You along with Ethan and Ivan laughed a lot at this drunk facade of Raphael.
He’s very lovely and sweet with everyone during that night! You might even see him being so clingy with you, Aaron and even Vladimir.
The hangover wasn’t so easy on him next morning :(.
He sends Aaron to buy gifts for you (he makes a great list of stuff for you). He is subtle with getting ideas for you, and he is most likely relying on his creative side to write a poem for you (if he could paint for you, he’d do it)
If you decide to bake something for Christmas he will offer himself as the main tester of your tarts and cookies.
He will let you gift him cute Christmas pajamas just because they are warmer and very comfy.
VLADIMIR
The reason why the vampires didn’t really celebrate Christmas was because of him. During these holidays he gets the most melancholic. He believes that everyone forces happiness during those days, and he never enjoyed them. He was certainly curious and was wondering how would it feel to do it with the guys, but why would he force it?
What he didn’t expect is that everyone had hopes of doing it thanks to you. You were truly a revolution for his life… yet it did take him time to accept. And even if he had a lot of questions, he ended up accepting.
You helped him to plan the events for the Christmas day. He somehow found the idea of a dinner pretty interesting and decided to be the one cooking. But he refused to wear some sort of silly accessory. Later in the dinner Beliath would place a Santa Claus hat on him, and he’d get grumpy like a grandpa.
But he had fun.
He was the one forcing Beliath and Aaron to set the decorations since they were tall.
Somehow you will find him smiling constantly during that day. And you knew that even if he didn’t express it openly, it was the first time he was enjoying Christmas so much. All his sad heart needed was the warmth of everyone’s presence in a friendly environment.
He cried when he saw that everyone had a gift for him. He honestly believed that no one would give a single thing to him. He felt awful because he didn’t leave the mansion to buy a single gift.
But Vladimir is a kind person, and he wants to give what he received, and he wouldn’t accept to be empty-handed for so long he’d make sure to have a gift for all of you in less than a week.
He’s the best at wrapping gifts.
Have you ever seen Vladimir hugging someone else that wasn’t you in private? Well, that night he hugged everyone.
After the dinner he gave you a great session of love and cuddles. He was overwhelmed from the amount of warmth and happiness in his heart. You’d hold him in your arms as he cries from happiness :).
ETHAN
He didn’t really celebrate it when he was a kid, but doesn’t think of Christmas as something bad. He likes it. And he literally brags about having the Santa Claus village in Finland.
Don’t worry, if he is able to bring you there, he will. He is excited himself to go there.
Loves to play in the snow and will definitely throw a whole big ball of snow at you. He will get you to make snow angels with him, and he will feel as if he was once again a little happy kid.
He will make you laugh so much when you’re both playing on the snow that even your tummy will hurt.
Luckily he can not get sick, but you can. And spending so much time outside with him had its consequences. Ethan will say that it’s merely a skill issue, yet he’d feel terrible for making you fall ill during winter. But you won’t lose anything from what they all prepare, you just skip all the preparations which is lowkey good if you’re lazy.
Ethan will spend any free moment besides you, taking care of you. Don’t you dare to get up or he’s tying you up in the bed to rest (not kinkily).
He is in charge of decorating the Christmas tree with Ivan, and more than once used the lights to wrap them aroun the young vamp. Luckily you aren’t sick enough and can separate them, or they will end up like a cat and dog.
He brings all the ugly Christmas accessories to the dinner and forces everyone to put on something. The board games can’t be forgotten either.
And he will print those pics and stick them into the walls of everyone’s room!! He aggressively forces them, but it’s his adorable small sign of affection towards the others. He is more open with his affection towards you though.
It’s impressive how much does this man eat during the dinner, not even Aaron was capable to win his large stomach.
This man is supposed to not drink alcohol, please control him or next day he might be throwing up all he consumed the last day.
He has a tiny Christmas tree in his bedroom.
Pretty decent with his gift picking. He prefers to give practical gifts and not spend much money.
But he is truly chaotic to wrap the gifts. You can always tell that he wrapped it because it is TERRIBLE.
IVAN
After Halloween, Christmas is one of those holidays which heals his inner child so badly:(. He had a great time during this month with his family, he even had the opportunity to do trips with his family as a way to celebrate Christmas.
He is excited about iceskating and literally spends weeks telling you to go.
When you finally go he ends up with a few bruises from the amount of times he has fallen. And of course a new trauma for him.
Anyway he had fun with going out with you so that’s more than enough.
Ivan wears every single day of December those ugly Christmas sweaters. And he will give you a few of them so you both can go around matching sweaters!
He is a great enjoyer of seasonal movies and will force you to have cuddling sessions every night and watch any random movie from his laptop.
He drags you to decorate the Christmas tree with him. And you’ll see him smile like a little kid a lot, he’s honestly very happy!
During the dinner he is mainly trying all the plates on the table, too focused on eating to talk.
He has a lot of fun playing board games (tries to cheat on them but ain’t subtle about it)
He makes the most random gifts to everyone because he has no idea about what to give any of you. He apologizes but at least he makes the moment funnier.
Don’t expect him to be elegant during the dinner. He’s gonna wear Santa’s hat and grinch socks. And he is proud of his outfit!
Do not let him bake anything, for everyone’s sake.
Offers you to spend the whole Christmas night awake, but he dies (falls asleep) the moment he finds a comfy spot in your chest.
This baby is perfectly aware that now that you live with them, every Christmas will be great and will feel different with you in them.

caught kissing santa | dave york
-> pairing: dave york x f!reader
-> word count: 1586
-> content warnings: 18+ blog; established relationship/reader is married to Dave and stepmom to his kids, mentions of food and drinks, non-religious Christmas celebrations and Santa beliefs, alluding to sexy time but no smut, kissing, mentions reader is wearing pajama pants, fluff, soft Dave, one use of ‘good girl’.
-> note: this literally came to me this morning and i whipped it up during nap time. Not beta’d, so all mistakes and misspelling are my own fault!! -> masterlist / holi-dave masterlist
“So let me get this straight. You saw Santa last night. In the flesh. Just standing in our living room?”
You hear Dave ask Alice to retell her story again from where you’re standing at the kitchen counter, pouring steamed milk into your coffee. Except this time, he encourages her to tell it at a slower pace so you both could catch every word of it.
“Yeah!! I was thirsty and wanted to get some water. So I got up to go downstairs, but when I got to the stairs I could see him in the living room.” Alice says, sitting across from Dave at the kitchen table where there’s a huge breakfast of pancakes, waffles and all the sweet toppings laid out. Her excitement is infectious. Her innocence is still palpable and going strong, as she states she saw Santa with her own eyes.
“And what was he doing?” Dave encourages Alice to share more as he spoons several helpings of mini chocolate chips onto his stack of pancakes with a hearty serving of peanut butter melting over the top.
“Putting our presents under the tree.” Her words were muffled by a mouth full of sliced strawberries.
“Hmm. I guess that makes sense. Where were you Molly, when all this excitement was going down?” Dave looks over to the youngest of his two girls, who’s been enjoying her own helping of pancakes with a mixture of berries and chocolate chips piled on top.
“Sleeping.” You snicker into your cup at Molly’s blunt response. Her mild temperament was proof enough that the apple doesn’t fall far from the Dave York tree.
You turn and lean against the kitchen counter, so you can watch the rest of their conversation unfold.
It took some convincing to get Dave to go along with your idea of dressing up as the Jolly Man in Red this year. Knowing that Alice gets up every night to get herself a glass of water, it was the perfect set up for her to happen upon. Thankfully Dave folds easy to your convincing pleas and a good make out session on the couch late into the night seals the deal.
Alice had come to you a few weeks ago about the matter. Asking about the validity of whether or not Santa was real. She had heard her friends talking about how they were getting too old to believe in such a silly thing and how it was their parents all along. You could sense the turmoil of her wanting to still believe in the idea of Santa, but also wanting to feel a part of her friend group who seem to be eagerly growing into their not quite pre-teen selves.
As her stepmom, you didn’t feel like it was your place to have such a turning point conversation with her. Wanting to leave that for Dave and Carol to broach the topic with her if it were to come up again, supporting whatever their approach would be. You told Alice that Santa is real and he makes sure to bring a little holiday magic each year to everyone, no matter how old they are. Your answer seemed to satisfy her inquisitive mind and gave you an idea to give her a little extra Christmas gift in case this would be her last year believing in Saint Nick.
“What was Santa doing?” Dave sits back into the chair to take in the rest of what Alice had to say. His arms crossed over his broad chest. Your attention is briefly drawn to the way his gray nightshirt pulls tight over his shoulders and back, then quickly refocusing back to Dave and the girls.
“Putting all the presents under the tree. He had a big bag of them, too.” Her arms stretched out to give him an idea of how big the bag was.
You smile at the way Dave is giving her his full attention. Never letting on that he was the one wearing the suit late into the night as he placed each present under the tree in the living room, while you watched him from where you sat under a blanket on the couch. Snapping a few photos of him as he really got into character with each gift. Pausing every so often, his hands on his waist, complaining how miserable and hot it would be to actually be Santa in the thick red suit and beard for an entire evening. He even warned that your gifts would be lost if you continued to laugh at his misery.
Pushing off the counter, you join the three of them at the table. Settling into the open chair next to Dave, as you continue to sip from the warm coffee in your mug.
“So did you say anything to him? Ask him if he brought you anything special this year?” You ask Alice.
“No! I was worried I would scare him away and that he’d take our presents with him.” Her eyes widened as shakes her head no. It warms your heart hearing her response to this whole situation, the exact reaction you were hoping for.
“Oh! I didn’t even think of that. We wouldn’t want him to take everything away that he brought for us.” You say looking over to Dave who’s smiling into his own cup of coffee.
“He also seemed a little busy once he was done putting all the presents out. So I just went back to bed. Wanted to be surprised when I woke up this morning.” You’re confused by what she means when she said he was busy.
“Busy? How so?” You ask before taking another drink.
“Well—“ She pauses and looks at Dave, as if to search for the right words before continuing, then back to you. “I saw something else before I went back to bed.”
“What would that be?” Dave’s gaze shifts over to you momentarily when he inquires about what exactly Alice saw. Clearing his throat as he adjusts his position in the wooden chair and grabbing for his mug to keep his hands busy, his grip on it tightened and his knee bouncing at a steady pace. His fidgety movements are a telltale sign that he’s anxious— valid, given the way Alice has you all hanging by her every word at the moment.
“I saw you kissing Santa under the mistletoe that’s hanging over the fireplace.” Alice looks you straight in the face when she says it.
Dave nearly spits out the sip of coffee he had just taken. Coughing into his napkin as silence takes over the entire room. Molly halts her pancake devouring to stare at you with a shocked expression.
“Oh! Umm, well—“ You fumble over your words. Sheer panic runs through your body as you try to come up with something quickly as to why Alice would have seen you kissing “Santa”.
“Hey, girls look at what time it is. Your mom is going to be here in 20 minutes to pick you up. How about you go on upstairs to get your stuff together. Brush those sticky teeth and get dressed so you’re ready to go when she gets here.” The girls cheer in unison as they both hop off their chairs and run in the direction of the stairs that lead to their rooms. The bombshell revelation is long forgotten now.
“Oh my god!” You let out a big sigh and slump down in your chair, your head turning to see Dave silently laughing to himself. “She’s going to ask me again why I was kissing him— but I think you bought me enough time until they’re back from Carol’s.”
Dave reaches over and grabs your hand, pulling you from your chair and into his lap. Your arms drape around his shoulders, your temple resting against his forehead. His hand smooths over your pajama clad thighs, the other resting at your hip where he gives you a few gentle squeezes.
“Thank you for doing that for her. She might not believe in him next year, but she’ll have this Christmas as a fun memory to tell her kids when they’re asking whether or not Santa is real.”
“Thankfully all she saw was the kissing— or she would have been scarred for life.” Dave says between the soft kisses he’s giving to your neck.
“You’re the worst!” Playfully hitting his shoulder.
“That’s not what you were saying when Santa was showering you with all those gifts last night.” His eyebrows waggle as he looks at you, rolling your eyes back at him. Your face heats up at remembering just how many gifts you were given.
“How about when the girls leave, you slip back into that red suit— forget the beard. And you can give me some more of those wonderful gifts.” You whisper, as if your suggestion might be heard by two sets of small ears. “I might be in the giving mood and have a few for you as well.”
“I don’t know. Have you been a good girl this year?” Dave asks in a low sensuous tone.
“The best!” You manage to say before his hand is pulling your face to his, kissing you with earnestness.
The sound of feet bounding down the stairs cuts the kiss short. Alice and Molly making their way back into the living room to pick up where they left off with their new toys.
“Merry Christmas, Sweetheart.” Dave places the softest kiss to your lips.
“Merry Christmas, Dave.”

kenny mccormick x reader insert
(❁´◡`❁) | [A/N] hii, this is my sixth oneshot that's apart of my ficmas! this is also on ao3. ❤️❄️🎄
(❁´◡`❁) | Warning(s) : nothing
(❁´◡`❁) | Synopsis : [y/n] and Kenny share a simple yet magical Christmas Eve, with handmade gifts and a kiss under falling snow.
The knock on the door was familiar—three quick taps, the last one loud and cocky, like whoever was on the other side knew you’d be answering for them. You grinned despite yourself, already knowing who it was. You’d barely gotten the door open before Kenny McCormick leaned casually against the frame, looking up at you with that mischievous grin that always managed to turn your stomach to butterflies.
“Hey, babe,” Kenny said, his voice low and smooth, like he was letting you in on a secret no one else got to hear. “You ready for your Christmas surprise, or are you gonna leave me freezing my ass off out here?”
He looked like pure trouble—of course he did. Kenny always carried himself like he was halfway between starting a fight and finishing a drink. His signature orange parka was nowhere to be seen, replaced instead with a faded orange hoodie under a beaten-up black denim jacket, the seams frayed and the fabric worn soft. His jeans were ripped at the knees, and his boots were scuffed and caked with snow, evidence that he’d already walked halfway across town to get here. A few curls of blonde hair fell into his eyes, still damp from the snow that had started swirling outside.
You couldn’t stop yourself from smiling as you leaned against the doorframe, mirroring his energy. “You’re late.”
Kenny let out a soft, teasing laugh, the kind that always made your pulse do something weird. “You’re lucky I showed up at all,” he shot back, raising an eyebrow. “You know, some of us are in high demand this time of year.”
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t hide the way his presence already had you feeling lighter. “Yeah, I’m sure every teen on your block is devastated.”
Kenny smirked, pushing himself off the doorframe and taking a step closer. “What can I say? I’m a man of the people.” He tilted his head, his blue eyes sharp and amused as they studied you. “But I’m here with you tonight, babe. That counts for something, right?”
It was ridiculous how easily he could do this—flirt like it was second nature, every word out of his mouth perfectly balanced between charm and teasing. He knew what he was doing, and yet it still worked every time.
“Maybe,” you said, trying to sound unimpressed. You grabbed your gloves from the table and slipped them on. “But you’ve still got some convincing to do, McCormick.”
Kenny grinned, showing just the faintest hint of teeth, as if he relished the challenge. “Don’t worry, I’ve got it covered. It’s nothing fancy, but I figured we’d check out the lights downtown. The little holiday shit they put up—window displays, all that crap. Thought it’d be nice.”
The way he said it—so offhanded, like he wasn’t sure how you’d take it—made your chest tighten in the best way. Kenny didn’t do extravagant gestures or over-the-top plans. He couldn’t afford to. But that wasn’t what made him special. He always made things feel bigger than they were just by being himself.
“That actually sounds perfect,” you admitted, your voice softer now.
Something flickered across his face—relief, maybe—but it was gone just as quickly as it came. He shoved his hands deep into the pockets of his jacket and shrugged, like he hadn’t just made your entire night better. “Figured you’d say that. You’re easy to please, babe.”
You snorted, shaking your head as you followed him out onto the porch. The cold air hit immediately, biting at your cheeks, but it was worth it just to see Kenny standing there under the glow of the streetlamp. The light reflected off the falling snow, casting soft shadows on his face as he turned to look at you, the smirk still tugging at his lips.
“Cold already?” he teased as you wrapped your arms around yourself. “You’re gonna love it downtown. Half the stores still think ‘turning on some string lights’ counts as holiday cheer.”
“Better than nothing,” you replied, falling into step beside him as you started down the snowy sidewalk.
Kenny snickered under his breath. “Barely. South Park’s like the Walmart clearance rack of Christmas towns, but hey, it’s home, right?”
You laughed, and Kenny shot you a sideways glance, his blue eyes glinting with something you couldn’t quite place. “You’ve got a nice laugh, you know that?” he said suddenly, his voice quieter. “That’s probably the real reason I dragged you out tonight. I figured someone’s gotta make me look less miserable walking around this dump.”
You nudged his shoulder with yours, pretending not to notice the way your heart flipped in your chest. “You’re a real charmer, Kenny. I don’t know how I resist you.”
He grinned, leaning in slightly as he lowered his voice. “Spoiler alert: you don’t.”
You rolled your eyes again, but you couldn’t stop the smile spreading across your face as the two of you continued down the quiet street. Snowflakes drifted down lazily from the dark sky, collecting on your shoulders and sticking to the ends of Kenny’s hair, making him look... softer somehow. Less like the sarcastic, sharp-edged kid everyone thought he was and more like the boy you’d known for years—the boy who, even when he didn’t have much, always found a way to make you feel like the luckiest person alive just to know him.
And as you walked together, the distant glow of South Park’s downtown lights shining ahead of you, you realized that, as simple as this night might’ve been, it was already perfect.
Downtown South Park was quieter than usual, most people already huddled inside their homes or crowded around fireplaces. The snow fell lazily through the air, blanketing the streets and softening the noise of passing cars. The sidewalks were nearly empty, the two of you practically alone as you wandered past the rows of shops and cafés, all decked out in their half-assed attempts at holiday cheer.
“You gotta love how South Park tries to look festive but still manages to scream ‘we gave up halfway through,’” Kenny said, his voice laced with sarcasm as he gestured at the string lights tangled over a street sign. A few bulbs flickered weakly, while others had already burnt out entirely.
You laughed, shoving your gloved hands into your coat pockets. “It’s charming in its own pathetic way.”
“Charming,” Kenny echoed, smirking as he glanced at you. “That’s one way to put it. I’m pretty sure half the lights they put up were salvaged from someone’s garage sale.”
He wasn’t wrong. One of the nearby lampposts had a plastic candy cane duct-taped to its side, and a sad, lopsided wreath hung over the entrance to Tom’s Rhinoplasty. Despite the haphazard decorations, though, there was something warm about it all—the way the snow settled softly on the garlands, the way the light glowed against the dark streets.
The two of you paused in front of a toy shop, its window display glowing brightly with reds and greens. Mechanical elves jerked awkwardly back and forth, as if powered by some barely functioning motor, while a plastic Santa turned his head slowly from side to side. The effect was less magical and more unsettling, but it made Kenny snort with laughter.
“Jesus, this is straight out of a horror movie,” he said, pressing his face close to the glass with mock intensity. “You think Santa’s checking his list, or you think he’s looking for his next victim?”
You stepped up beside him, your reflection in the frosted window blending with his. “Probably both. I think that elf on the left is possessed.”
“Oh, definitely,” Kenny said, leaning back and shoving his hands into his jacket pockets again. “I’d watch that movie. Killer Christmas.”
“Not gonna lie, I would too,” you replied, grinning.
Kenny turned to you, his blue eyes catching the glow of the window display. The smirk on his face softened slightly, the sharp edges dulling as he watched you for a moment. “I knew you’d be into that. That’s why you’re my favorite.”
The words caught you off guard, even if Kenny said it so casually it almost sounded like a joke. “Oh, I’m your favorite now?” you teased, hoping the heat creeping up your neck wasn’t obvious.
“Always have been, babe,” he replied smoothly, his grin turning cocky.
You rolled your eyes to cover the way your heart stuttered, turning back toward the next window as Kenny fell into step beside you again.
The two of you walked in comfortable silence for a while, the snow crunching softly beneath your boots. It felt surreal being out here with him, just the two of you, under the glow of flickering lights and neon shop signs. Kenny wasn’t the type to slow down often—he was always moving, always joking, always covering himself with layers of humor and bravado. But here, under the quiet fall of snow, he seemed calmer, more present.
“Hey,” he said suddenly, nudging your arm lightly with his elbow. “Check this out.”
You looked up to see him nodding toward another window display—this one a small bakery. Its front window was fogged from the warmth inside, but you could still see the carefully arranged gingerbread houses, sugar-dusted cookies, and little frosted cakes shaped like reindeer. Twinkle lights were strung along the edges of the display, the glow catching on the snow outside and making it look almost magical.
Kenny tilted his head, squinting at it. “Man, I’d kill for one of those cookies right now.”
“Didn’t you eat, like, two burgers earlier?” you teased.
“Yeah, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t demolish a gingerbread man,” he replied, grinning. “You’d do the same. Don’t act innocent.”
You laughed, shaking your head as you turned back to the display. The warm glow from the bakery felt like a stark contrast to the freezing air outside, and for a moment, you almost suggested going in. But then you felt something cold hit your cheek—a single snowflake.
You tilted your head back slightly, blinking as more flakes drifted down from the sky, slow and steady. Kenny followed your gaze, his grin softening as he watched the snow fall around you both.
“It’s really coming down now,” you said quietly, almost to yourself.
“Yeah,” Kenny muttered, his voice low. “It’s nice, though. Peaceful.”
You glanced at him, surprised by the way his tone had shifted. Kenny rarely slowed down enough to just be. His grin was gone now, replaced by something quieter and more thoughtful as he looked up at the sky, the snowflakes catching in his hair and on his jacket.
“It’s kinda weird,” he said suddenly, his eyes still on the sky. “Sometimes I forget how... good this can look. You know, the whole Christmas shit. When you don’t have to worry about anything else—like money, or how you’re gonna keep the heat on. It’s nice to just... look at it for once.”
Your chest tightened at the honesty in his voice, a rare glimpse of the Kenny who lived beneath the jokes and smirks. You opened your mouth to respond, but before you could, he turned back toward you, his grin returning like a reflex.
“Don’t get all teary on me, babe,” he said, nudging you again. “I’m just saying, snow’s pretty. Sue me.”
You smiled, bumping him back lightly. “No lawsuits this time, McCormick.”
Kenny snorted, shaking his head. “Good. I’m broke.”
The two of you continued walking, the snow falling more steadily now, swirling in the glow of the streetlamps lining the sidewalk. There was something dreamlike about it—the way the lights reflected off the snow, the quiet stillness of the empty streets, and the easy rhythm of Kenny walking beside you.
He paused suddenly, pulling his hands from his pockets as he stopped under one of the streetlamps. Its light flickered faintly, the bulb buzzing like it was struggling to keep up with the night. Kenny looked at you, a strange, mischievous look on his face that made your heart skip a beat.
“Wait here,” he said, before slipping his hand into his jacket.
“What are you doing?” you asked, watching him warily.
Kenny didn’t answer right away. Instead, he pulled something small and wrapped from his pocket, holding it out toward you. It was clumsily done—brown paper folded haphazardly, held together with a single piece of tape—but it was clearly something he’d put together himself.
“Merry Christmas,” Kenny said simply, his voice soft but steady. “It’s not much, but I wanted you to have it.”
You turned the small package over in your hands, a smile tugging at your lips as you took in just how bad the wrapping job was. The brown paper was creased and uneven, one corner bunched up as if Kenny had given up halfway through folding it. The single piece of tape holding it all together was barely doing its job, and part of the paper had already started to peel up at the edges.
You couldn’t help the giggle that escaped you. “Kenny, what the hell is this? Did you wrap this with your eyes closed?”
Kenny let out a breathy laugh, the sound warm against the cold night. He scratched the back of his neck, his grin lopsided and sheepish. “Hey, wrapping paper’s a scam. You’re lucky I didn’t just hand it to you raw. I spent a whole five minutes on that.”
“Five minutes well spent,” you teased, holding the package up and pretending to examine it like it was a work of art. “It’s very... authentic. Minimalist chic.”
“Yeah, yeah, laugh it up,” Kenny said, but his voice was light, his blue eyes soft as they watched you. “Just open it before you hurt my feelings, babe.”
You shot him a teasing look before carefully peeling back the tape and unfolding the paper—at least what was still intact. Inside was a small, handmade bracelet, its simple black cord threaded with a mix of little wooden beads and a single, worn copper charm shaped like a star. It wasn’t perfect; the beads were slightly uneven, and the charm had a faint scratch along one side. But somehow, that made it even better. It looked like Kenny, through and through—rough around the edges, simple but full of heart.
Your teasing smile softened as you held it up, turning it over between your fingers to get a better look. The charm caught the faint glow of the streetlamp, its surface glinting against the snowy night.
“Kenny...” you said softly, your voice catching just a little.
Kenny shoved his hands back into his jacket pockets, his gaze flicking away from yours like he was suddenly nervous. “I, uh... made it a while ago. Just some stuff I found lying around, you know? The charm was on this old necklace my sister used to have—she didn’t want it anymore, so I, uh, repurposed it or whatever.”
You looked back at the bracelet, your heart twisting as you traced your thumb over the little star. You could tell he was trying to play it off like it was no big deal, but you knew better. Kenny didn’t do grand gestures; he didn’t have the means to buy shiny things or pull off big surprises. But he put himself into what he could do, and that made everything he did mean so much more.
“I know it’s not some fancy gift or anything,” Kenny continued, his voice low as he stared down at his boots, his shoulders stiff like he was bracing for something. “But I thought... I dunno, you might like it. If you don’t, it’s cool. I’m just—”
“Kenny, shut up,” you said gently, cutting him off as you smiled and slipped the bracelet onto your wrist. It fit snugly, the charm resting just above the pulse of your hand. “It’s perfect.”
Kenny blinked, looking up at you like he wasn’t sure he’d heard you right. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” you said, holding out your arm so he could see it better. “I love it. Really.”
For a second, Kenny just stared at the bracelet on your wrist, his expression unreadable. Then, slowly, a grin spread across his face—softer than his usual cocky smirk, like this smile was just for you.
“Well, damn,” he said, his voice teasing but warm. “Look at you, making me feel all accomplished and shit.”
You laughed softly, your fingers brushing over the charm again as you looked at him. “You should. I mean it, Kenny. I love it.”
He watched you for a moment, his grin lingering, his blue eyes catching the flickering light from the streetlamp above. The snow fell softly around you both, collecting on his shoulders and sticking to the ends of his messy blonde hair.
“You’re something else, you know that?” Kenny said quietly, his tone softer now, like he’d forgotten to hide behind the jokes and the swagger.
You smiled, feeling your heart give that familiar, fluttering lurch in your chest. “Takes one to know one, McCormick.”
Kenny chuckled under his breath, but there was a gentleness in his expression that made your stomach flip. For a moment, neither of you spoke. The snow continued to drift lazily from the sky, and the flickering streetlamp above cast a golden glow over the two of you, like the whole world had stilled just for this.
You glanced down at the bracelet on your wrist, the little copper star catching the faint glow of the flickering streetlamp. You couldn’t help but smile as you turned your gaze back to Kenny. He was still looking at you, his grin softer now, almost nervous. Kenny McCormick—nervous. That alone was enough to make your chest ache.
“It’s snowing harder,” you said softly, more to fill the silence than anything else.
Kenny tilted his head back slightly, letting his gaze shift toward the sky. Snowflakes swirled lazily down from the dark, endless expanse above, catching in his messy blonde hair and clinging to his lashes. He stood still for a moment, his face tilted upward, his breath visible in soft bursts of white against the cold air.
“Guess it is,” he murmured, his voice quieter now, almost lost to the soft hum of the night. He lowered his head, looking at you again, and something about the way his eyes lingered on yours made the rest of the world feel distant, hazy—like you were the only two people here.
You shivered a little, though it wasn’t from the cold. Kenny noticed immediately, pulling his hands out of his jacket pockets and stepping closer. “You cold, babe?” he asked softly, the teasing lilt in his voice barely there now.
“A little,” you admitted, though you were barely thinking about the temperature. Not when he was standing this close, his face only a few inches from yours, the faintest smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
“C’mere,” Kenny said, his voice low and warm. He reached out and tugged you gently by the edge of your coat, pulling you just close enough that your breath mingled in the cold air.
For a moment, neither of you moved. You could see the flecks of snow caught in his hair, the way the faint light of the streetlamp turned the edges of his face golden. His eyes searched yours, his expression unusually open, like he was waiting—waiting for you to make the call.
Your heart pounded as you lifted your hand, brushing a few stray snowflakes from his hair with your gloved fingers. Kenny’s eyes fluttered closed at the touch, just for a second, before they opened again—soft, vulnerable, there.
“Kenny,” you murmured, not even sure what you were about to say.
He smiled faintly, his voice barely more than a whisper. “Yeah?”
You didn’t answer. Instead, you leaned in slowly, letting your eyes flutter shut as the distance between you disappeared. Kenny’s breath hitched softly, and then his lips met yours—delicate and hesitant at first, like he wasn’t sure you’d let him.
The kiss was soft and unhurried, the kind that made time feel like it had stopped. His lips were warm despite the cold, chapped from the winter air, but gentle against yours, like he was afraid to break something. Kenny’s hands came to rest on your coat, careful but steady, grounding you even as everything else seemed to spin.
Snowflakes landed lightly on your cheeks and melted instantly, the cold barely registering as you tilted your head, deepening the kiss just a little. Kenny’s lips moved with yours, slow and deliberate, like he wanted to memorize the shape of your mouth against his. His thumb brushed your sleeve absentmindedly, sending a faint shiver down your spine, and you let yourself melt into him, into the moment.
When you finally pulled back, it was only by an inch, your foreheads almost touching as you caught your breath. Snowflakes floated lazily between you, clinging to Kenny’s lashes and dusting the tips of his hair like frost. He blinked slowly, his breath fogging the space between you both, his lips curling into the faintest smile.
“Well, shit,” Kenny said quietly, his voice soft and husky. “That was... pretty nice.”
You laughed softly, still breathless, your cheeks aching from smiling. “Yeah,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper. “It really was.”
Kenny tilted his head, his grin widening into something closer to his usual mischief but gentler now, softened by the moment. “Don’t go falling in love with me, babe,” he teased, though his voice was warm. “I’ll just disappoint you.”
You rolled your eyes, smiling as you nudged his shoulder lightly. “Too late, McCormick.”
Kenny blinked at you, like he hadn’t expected that answer. His grin faltered, just for a second, before he chuckled softly under his breath and shook his head. “God, you’re something else.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” you teased.
“Not at all,” Kenny replied, his voice low as he watched you. “Not at all.”
The snow fell heavier now, swirling in glowing spirals under the flickering streetlamp, but neither of you moved. Kenny stayed close, his hands still resting lightly on your coat, his smile lingering as he leaned in again—just enough to brush his lips against yours once more.
And for that moment, under the soft blanket of snow and the dim golden glow of the streetlamp, the rest of the world disappeared.

Christmas Dolly - 2
PREVIOUS CHAPTER
Weeks passed, and Callie completely forgot about the new addition to her house. The cute little doll sat on her mantel, untouched. Similarly, the box with outfits and furniture was moved into her bedroom, where it laid undisturbed.
At least, it did until December 23rd, when Callie, about to walk out the door with her bags to make the two hour drive to her parent's house for the holiday, saw the face of her tiny doppelganger and had an epiphany. She had to bring the doll and it's accompanying accoutrements to Christmas with her.
Penny had obviously spent most of her meager savings on the toy. It would be rude not to show her adorable little sister how much she appreciated the gift, even if she hadn't touched it for weeks.
Quickly, Callie packed the doll in its original box and carried it to the car before undertaking her long drive home for Christmas.
Once at her parents house, Callie was immediately greeted by her parents and baby sister, Penny.
"Penny! I missed you so much! How're you doing, sweetie?" Callie greeted the younger woman with a saccharine sweet, caring yet condescending tone.
Penny rolled her eyes at her sister's belittling words.
"Callie! I told you, it's Penelope now! And, I'm fine. Did you get my present?" Callie's sister responded, giving her older sibling a strangely assessing look as she asked the last question.
Callie ignored her sister's strange behavior, plowing ahead with the holiday niceties.
"I did! It's in my car. Maybe we can play with it together when I get all unpacked? You love playing dollies!"
Strangely, given Penny's earlier protests at being talked to like a child, the young woman lit up at the idea of playing with dolls with her big sister.
"Yes, Callie! That would be amazing!"
Callie just smiled at her baby sister's childlike exuberance and gave her a light kiss on the cheek. Penny's excitement over something as infantile as playing with dolls met Callie's expectations for her younger sister perfectly.
Callie then turned to their parents and exchanged their normal pleasantries before grabbing her luggage and heading to her old bedroom--a room that had remained untouched since she moved out after highschool.
Exhausted from her drive, Callie immediately collapsed onto the small twin bed in the room. Staring at the walls and ceiling, she marveled at how perfectly preserved her parents had kept this room for all of the years since she moved out.
The pastel pink walls were still adorned with posters of boy bands and Taylor Swift. In one corner, a large doll house sat under a hanging net, overflowing with stuffed animals, toys that even as an older teen she couldn't bring herself to part with. Her white desk, worn from years of homework, sat against another wall, stationary and a small lamp decorating it's top. Her white dresser stood against the other wall, packed, she knew, with clothes reflective of fashions nearly a decade out of date.
Callie just took it all in and smiled. The nostalgia hit her hard. Despite not living in this room for years, it still felt strongly of home to her.
After a few minutes, a light knock on the door interrupted Callie's nostalgic revelry.
"Callie?" Penny's voice came hesitantly from outside of the room.
Callie smiled. Penny interrupting her to ask to play felt right when she was lying on this bed.
"Come on in, sweetie! Did you want to see my new dolly?" Callie said with the condescending tone that was ever present when she spoke with her sister.
Penelope walked in, a grimace quickly replaced by a large, innocent grin.
"Of course, sissy! I was so excited when I found it for you! I knew you would love it. You do love it, right?!" Penny looked at her older sister with puppy dog eyes that melted Callie's heart.
"Of course, I do! Here, let's look at her together. Maybe we can introduce her to my doll house," Callie responded as she got out of bed and pulled out the large cardboard box containing the doll and it's accessories.
Penny quickly dove into the box, pulling out the tiny simulacrum of her older sister.
"Aw! She's a scientist like you, Callie! Adorable!"
Callie couldn't help but smile at her sister's excitement.
"She is! But, she has so many other clothes too! See?"
Callie began pulling outfit after outfit out of the box, laying them on the floor in front of Penny. The younger woman fingered each piece of clothing reverently. Eventually, her attention fell on a beautiful red dress that looked like a dress a Callie could remember wearing to church as a small girl.
Penny picked the dress up and handed it to Callie.
"Isn't this dress just precious, Callie? Can you dress her in it? Pleeeaaase?" The 19-year-old girl was bouncing with excitement as she begged her older sister to change her dolls clothes. It melted Callie's heart.
"Of course, that dress is adorable!" Callie said as she been undressing the tiny version of herself in her hands.
As she changed out the lab coat and slacks for the childish dress, Callie couldn't help but marvel at how the doll seemed to transform as well. With just the change of clothes, the doll seemed to suddenly be 20 years younger.
Callie held the doll up to her sister.
"Isn't she adorable?"
Penny laughed and delight and agreed.
"She really is!"
After that, the two women's conversation turned from the doll to more adult topics. The talked about work, school, their dating life, and the latest family drama--Callie consistently offering condescending comments and advise to her little sister.
After that, the rest of the night proceeded uneventfully. Callie spent time with her family, eating dinner and watching a holiday movie, before returning to her old bedroom, throwing on her red, satin pajamas, and crawling into bed.
She sighed to herself as she fell asleep, content to be back home with family for the holidays.
When Callie woke up the next morning; however, she immediately noticed something was wrong.
"Callie, little Callie Bear, it's time to get up, baby girl! It's time for church!" The sweet voice of Callie's mother sang out in her ear as Callie felt a hand gently rock her shoulder.
"Mommy? Why're you in my… church? We haven't gone to church in years?" Callie opened her eyes as she protested her mom's sudden childish treatment of her.
"What do you mean, sweetie? We go every weekend, and it's Christmas Eve! Now, hurry and get out of bed so Mommy can get you dressed!"
Despite herself, Callie suddenly felt a childish urge she couldn't resist to comply with her mother's, no, mommy's, commands. She threw back her sheets and sat up, smiling at her mother's beaming face before shock caused her mouth to drop open and her to pull a drool covered thumb she didn't realize she had been sucking on, out of her mouth.
Her room has transformed. The pink walls and twin bed remained the same, but everything else seemed different. The once tidy floor was covered in dolls, stuffed animals, and plastic toy horses.
Her desk, that had a lamp and stationary on it just last night, was covered with crayons, colored pencils, and various drawings that looked like they had been completed by an elementary schooler.
Similarly, where photos of herself and her friends in highschool and posters of Taylor Swift and One Direction once hung on the walls, there were posters depicting Barbies, My Little Pony, and poorly drawn artwork.
Callie looked down at herself and realized her clothes had changed too. Instead of the sexy red satin nightie and thong she had worn to bed, she was wearing a cotton, Barbie-themed nightshirt and pink cotton panties with a childish bow on the front.
Callie didn't get to long to process the changes to her world, however. As soon as she sat up, her mommy, no mom (Callie couldn't understand why she suddenly had such a strong desire to call her mother such a childish term), pulled her nightshirt over her head and began dressing her 27-year-old daughter like she was 7 years old instead.
Callie, much to her surprise, found herself allowing her Mommy to dress her. She put her arms up when asked, stepped into clothes when directed, and sat still while the older woman styled her hair.
At the end of the process, Callie's Mommy stood her up next to the full-length mirror attached to the back of the Callie's bedroom door. Callie's reflection beamed back of her, the spitting image of an overgrown second grader, excited to go to church.
Internally, however, Callie screamed. Something was wrong. Horribly wrong. This wasn't right. She shouldn't be wearing these clothes. She shouldn't have let her Mommy dress her. She shouldn't be excited to go to church. She shouldn't be calling Mommy, Mommy!
Callie felt like a passenger in her own body.
Callie watched as her Mommy approached her from behind with something in her hand.
"Well, if this isn't just the most adorable thing ever, you're twinning!"
Mommy held out the doll Penny had gifted Callie earlier in the month, and the 27-year-old research scientist grimaced internally. The outfit she was currently wearing matched the doll's perfectly. Callie wanted to cry.
Instead, she giggled, grabbed the doll from her mother's hands greedily, and hugged it tightly.
"Matchy!" Callie heard her own voice call out cheerfully.
Her Mommy laughed and grabbed her hand.
"Well, let's go, Callie Bear! We don't want to be late for church on Christmas Eve!"
Callie let her mother lead her out of her room by the hand, as, in her head, she sat horrified at what might come next.

12 Days of Ficmas ❅ Day 1
Word Count: 4.8K Paring: Stiles Stilinski x Fem!Reader Prompt @alloftheprompts: Character A and Character B broke up but now they meet at a Christmas party.
Summary: In unpredictable Beacon Hills, Stiles and (Y/N) being together was one of the only things that made sense. But sometimes the smallest of changes can create the biggest of chaos. And a simple college admission letter can do just that. Maybe all it takes is the right Christmas gift to make things better.
A/N: yup, that's right, I'm doing 12 Days of Ficmas again (even if I haven't finished Kinktober 🫣🫣 but I am nothing if not a masochist (and a slight procrastinator) But enjoy!! This story actually made me tear up, honestly. But it wouldn't be one of my stories if there wasn't an insane amount of angst 😅 Also, disclaimer, I have not seen the last two seasons of Teen Wolf or the movie so, sorry for any inconsistencies.
Next ->
“Let’s just get this over with,” (Y/N) sighed as she fixed the Santa hat on top of her head. “They don’t have to know yet.”
“Yeah,” Stiles grimaced. “It’s better to wait until after the holidays, I guess.”
It was the first time Stiles and (Y/N) had ever been terrified to enter Scott’s house and face all of their friends. Even worse, they had to pretend everything was fine between them.
Since they were little, the pair had been inseparable. Being next-door neighbors allowed them to grow close at a rapid pace. It was in her that he found solace on the nights his mother’s illness would take the best of her mind. He would run over to her house and climb the lattice that ran all the way up to her room.
And she wouldn’t ask questions. (Y/N) would simply let him in through her window and distract him until he eventually drifted off to sleep. She did not need any explanations or reasons to comfort Stiles. She simply knew he needed her, and so she was there for him. Because if there was anything she knew of, it was the pain of slowly losing a parent.
They shared a bond that no one could break. Even as Scott entered their duo and they became the perfect trio, Stiles and (Y/N) shared a connection like no other. So, it came as no surprise to anyone when they got together. Even after Stiles had continuously professed his love for Lydia. Even after (Y/N) and Boyd had a quick fling. Everyone knew that it would be the two of them at the end of the day.
What no one expected was that one day, they wouldn’t be Stiles and (Y/N) anymore. Hell, not even they had seen it coming.
Their downfall had begun the second week of December. For some reason, the couple had not spoken about what happened after high school. In their senior year, they were focusing on the present, leaving the future where it was. Because what they didn’t know couldn’t hurt them.
(Y/N) had applied under early action to various colleges, thinking nothing of it. But there was one college that had been her dream since her father had passed, and that was her only early decision application. She had worked every day since to make sure she was at least close to being accepted. But it was never a sure thing.
She had promised herself to put it in the back of her mind. Stressing over that envelope would only drive her into madness. As much as she wanted it to be true, she knew the reality of the situation. The chances she could ever get in, much less with a full ride, were slim to none. And hoping only made things worse.
Still, that hadn’t stopped her from applying; it hadn’t stopped her from wishing.
“Honey,” her mother had said one afternoon after she got home from school. “Look what came in the mail.”
In her hands, there was a white manila envelope with blue lettering that clearly read: University of Oxford.
(Y/N) could have sworn she could feel her heart in her throat, beating at an unnatural pace and threatening to leap out of her body. She crossed the distance between her front door to the kitchen faster than she had ever done before, needing to feel the paper in her hands. Only seeing it was not proof enough that it was real.
“I don’t think I can open it,” the girl worried. “What if it’s bad, mom?”
“You won’t know unless you see, my darling,” she smiled softly. “But no matter what, you will still be the most impressive young lady I have known. And any college would be lucky to have you.”
With trembling hands, she broke open the envelope and pulled out a beautiful and crisp piece of white paper. “Dear (Y/N) (Y/L/N),” she read before taking a steadying breath. “It is with greatest pleasure that we inform you that the Admissions Comittee has decided to offer you admission to Oxford University through our binding Early Decision (ED) option on a full scholarship.”
As (Y/N) read those words, tears spilled from her eyes, and the papers fell from her hands. Her mother wrapped her arms tightly around her, showering her with words of love and encouragement. It had been everything she had worked for. Something not even the supernaturals of the world could take from her.
“You’re going to Oxford, baby girl,” her mother cooed. “I knew you could. Your dad would have been just as proud as I am.”
That moment should have been the happiest in her life so far. But there was a dark cloud that lingered over her as she celebrated. She had not told anyone she was applying to a college so far away, much less the reason she would be doing so. Mostly because she was terrified she wouldn’t get in. But part of her knew it was because she was leaving all her friends behind, leaving Stiles behind. And that was the hardest part.
For the rest of the week, as she celebrated internally, she hid the biggest news of her life from all of her friends and the boy she had deemed the love of her life. Anyone would have thought she was the one harboring a secret supernatural life with the way she was guarding her secret. And, maybe it shouldn’t have been something she kept to herself. Maybe they would have all been excited for her and understood the reason for the distance. But something deep in her stopped her every single time.
If her friends had noticed there was anything different from her demeanor, they didn’t say a thing. In the midst of final exams and the Christmas holidays soon approaching, everyone seemed to be stuck in their own heads. So, if they were in their heads, they couldn’t know there was something happening in hers.
But that Friday night, at the same hour Stiles would always sneak in, (Y/N) knew there was no way she could continue to hide her secret any longer.
“Come on,” he chuckled as he jumped onto her bed, holding his arms open. “Tell me what’s going on with you.”
“What do you mean?” she said, forcing a smile. “Why do you say that?”
“You know you can’t lie to me. I may not have super hearing, but I can tell, (Y/N).”
“Yeah,” she chuckled softly. “You know me too well.”
“Of course I do,” he smiled as he crossed the distance between them and caressed the softness of her cheek. “Now, please, tell me what’s wrong?”
That was it. That was the moment that had changed them, the moment that had broken them.
(Y/N) took a steadying breath and took his hands in hers, focusing on the veins on his hands rather than his worried eyes. “I got a letter last week,” she started with a sigh. “I told you about all the colleges I had applied to as early action.”
“Of course, you bright mind, you,” he said. “Did you already start getting the acceptance letters?”
“Uh, there’s another college I actually applied to. Early decision.”
“Like binding early decision?”
“Yeah, exactly,” she said, her voice trembling as she spoke. “I, uh, I applied to the University of Oxford. And I got in.”
Instead of embracing her, Stiles dropped her hands, taking a step away from her. “In England?” he asked as though he was offended. “Why would you wanna go that far?”
“It’s not about the distance,” she grimaced, finally meeting his hurt eyes. “It’s about what that school means. That’s where my dad went to school. That’s the place my parents met. That was the school that started my entire life, Stiles.”
“So, why didn’t you tell me about it? If it was so damn important, why did you never mention it?” Stiles seethed, tears forming in the corners of his eyes. “You wanna start a new life, is that it? Follow in your parents’ footsteps and meet the love of your life there? Great, (Y/N). And you made sure you did it in a way you couldn’t back out.”
“Stiles, that’s not…”
“So, what? Were you gonna wait until graduation to tell me that you were moving halfway across the world to get away from us? From me?” the boy cried. “Or were you simply going to disappear and start a new life without telling anyone? But I guess that’s your thing now, huh? Keeping big shit like this until you can’t anymore.”
“That’s not fair, Stiles,” she frowned, hugging her arms tightly across her torso. “I didn’t want to get my hopes up, so I didn’t say anything. That doesn’t mean that I would have never told you about it. I’m not looking to escape. I’m looking to start my future.”
“And it looks like you were starting it without me then,” he croaked. “What does that mean for us, (Y/N)? We ride it out until graduation, and then you leave for the rest of your life?”
“I don’t… you wanna b-break up?”
“It’s inevitable now, isn’t it?” Stiles said in a tone that broke her more than the words he was speaking. “You’re gonna be in England, and I’m gonna be god knows where. It’s better just to do it now.”
That night was nothing like she had imagined it would be. She had hoped Stiles would have been excited for her and promised her everything would be alright. That somehow he would have the answers to how they could withstand so much distance because they had to make it. Out of everyone in their friend group, those two had to make it.
Instead, it had taken a turn for the worse. One second, Stiles was standing before her with a smile on his face, and the next, he was leaving through her window with tears streaming down his face. What she had most been dreading was that scenario to play out, and a week before their friend’s holiday party, it had. They had gone through life-threatening and mind-boggling situations, but it was a college acceptance letter that broke them apart.
The coming days (Y/N) spent buried in bed. Although she should have been celebrating one of her biggest achievements –other than saving lives and defeating many, many creatures– she had wasted more tears during that time than she had done the past years of her life. She was distraught and defeated, and she had no idea how she would make it through the last semester of high school, much less how she would have made it through a Christmas party.
Somehow, they had arrived at Scott’s house at the same time, even after she had made sure she left twenty minutes after Stiles. The universe liked to play its mean tricks, but that one was almost unforgivable.
“Let’s just try to stay out of each other’s way,” he grimaced. “The less we are near each other, the harder it’ll be for them to find out.”
“Harder to find out what?” Scott asked as he swung the front door open, his signature goofy grin stretched across his mouth. Instinctively, Stiles draped his arm around (Y/N)’s shoulders and smiled brightly. “Ooh, did you bring your brownies, (Y/N)?”
“Yeah,” she smiled. “Still warm from the oven.”
“Wouldn’t be a party without them,” Stiles commented. “Now, let us in. It’s kinda cold out tonight.”
The second they were inside, Stiles broke for the living room while (Y/N) moved to the kitchen with Scott. She set the tray on the overfilled kitchen island, noticing to the side that the dinner table was perfectly set up. “Oh, the table looks nice,” she commented. “But I thought we’d be doing something more low-key.”
“Yeah,” he chuckled awkwardly. “Lydia thought it’d be fun to do a more grown-up dinner party.”
“Yeah. Place settings and everything.”
“We were waiting for you guys to start eating,” he said. “We’re doing gifts after.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
Slowly, the rest of the group trickled into the kitchen, greeting and hugging (Y/N) as they looked over all the food and served themselves their plates. And, of course, her seat was right next to Stiles’. Even if she had wanted to sit anywhere else, the rest had already taken their assigned seats, and the only open spot was the one that had her name.
She gave her ex-boyfriend a small smile, looking anywhere but into the brown of his eyes. Her heart beat against her chest, threatening to jump out of her body. It made her fidgety as everyone ate, thinking any of the wereanimals around her would be able to tell how she was feeling.
But Scott was laughing with Stiles, Malia was talking to Lydia, and Hayden, Liam, and Mason had their own conversation running. (Y/N) was all by herself. She was surrounded by all the people she loved, but it was the loneliest she had felt in a long time. Without the usual comforting words from Stiles, she couldn’t help but feel so out of place. It was the happiest time of the year, but the girl was miserable, and it hurt that it didn’t seem like the boy she loved was sad as well.
“Alright,” Lydia spoke up as everyone ignored their mostly empty plates. “Now that our bellies are full, I think it’s time for Secret Santa! And I truly hope you all kept it a secret this time.”
“Not that it’d matter anyway,” Liam chuckled. “We all know we ask for help every time.”
“Anyways,” she said, ignoring the soft laughter that erupted from the group. “Let’s go to the living room, and (Y/N) you’ll go first.”
“Oh, uh, sure,” she smiled as she followed the group into the living room. She crouched under the decorated Christmas tree, pulling out the gift that had been there for almost two weeks. “I got Lydia.”
“How wonderful!” the redhead mused, quick to hug her friend and rip away the wrapping paper. Inside the gift box was a mosaic picture of Lydia, Allison, and (Y/N), the first time they had finally considered each other friends. “Oh, it’s beautiful! I wish I could take it with me everywhere.”
“It was hard to get it just right, but I loved how it turned out.”
“It’s perfect, (Y/N),” she beamed. “Thank you.”
“Of course. I love you, Lids.”
“Love you too,” the girl said as she wrapped her friend in a tighter hug. “My turn!”
Lydia had gifted Liam nine books out of his TBR list —nine because of his lacrosse number. Then, Liam gifted Scott a new leather jacket so he could “actually look cool when riding his motorcycle,” Liam snickered. Scott then gifted Malia a light blue hoodie to add to her ever-growing collection, while Malia gifted Hayden a journal and pen set, saying it was for when her mind felt too busy. After a warm smile and a hug, she announced her gift was for Mason, laughing as he pulled out an ugly cat sweater. Once the loud laughter subsided, Mason gifted Stiles a massage mat for his Jeep.
“For when you’re taking really long drives,” the boy smiled, clearly proud of himself. “There’s quite some distance between here and D.C. It’ll come in handy.”
“Yeah,” he chuckled as he hugged Mason. “Thanks, man. It’s great.”
“Don’t mention it.”
As Mason sat back down, Stiles cleared his throat as he pulled the last gift. Everyone knew by then who it was for. There was no one else left. “Well, I guess you all know who this is for,” he said. “I hope you like it, (Y/N).”
The girl received the bag with a soft smile, trying her best to swallow the tears that were threatening to spill. She had forgotten for a second how cruel the universe could be. She pulled out the white tissue paper first before finding a beautiful brown bear dressed in a blue knit sweater. Around its neck, there was a necklace with something she could only assume was a soundwave. With curiosity washing over her, she looked to Stiles for an explanation.
“Uh, so, it’ll make a lot more sense if you press the bear’s hand,” he stammered. Once she died as told, the sound broke her. From deep in the belly of the teddy bear, her father’s voice rang out, singing the words of “You Are My Sunshine.” There was not a single night when she was little that her father didn’t sing that to her, and even as she grew old for the lullaby, he would call her sunshine. “I got a recording from your mom of your dad singing the song when you were a baby,” Stiles spoke over the music. “And the necklace is the image of the soundwave of your dad calling you sunshine.”
Tears had long since fallen down her cheeks, clutching the bear in her arms as though it was her own father. With her eyes closed, it was almost as though he was right there, singing to her. But it was what came after the song that shattered her. “You’re gonna do great things, (Y/N),” her father said through the bear. “I love you forever, my little sunshine.”
At that moment, all she wanted to do was hug Stiles and kiss him like she had done a million times before. That was the boy she had fallen in love with. The one that cared and listened. The one that had made her heart race and her stomach turn into butterflies. She wanted to tell him she loved him and never let him go, but she couldn’t. Just like she could never do with her father.
“I, uh,” she said as she stood from the couch, feeling as though she would faint in the crowded room. “I need some air.”
(Y/N) stammered her way out of the living room and through the front door, only allowing herself to break down when she was at the end of the driveway. She fell to her knees and hugged the bear to her chest as she cried, letting the hurt that had accumulated over the years spill onto the pavement. In less than six months, she was going to walk into a new life halfway across the globe without the support of her father and now, without the support of Stiles. All alone.
She should have been celebrating. She knew that. She should have been crying tears of joy and jumping into her love’s arms. Instead, it was the bear’s arms that she could feel. The softness of its fur, the sound of her father’s voice.
Without even realizing it, she had begun singing along to the lullaby, sniffling between words as the tears didn’t relent. “You’re gonna do great things, (Y/N),” her father said once more through the bear. “I love you forever, my little sunshine.”
“I love you too, dad,” she cried.
“Hey,” his voice startled her. Through teary eyes, she looked up to find Stiles draping a jacket over her shoulders. He slid to the ground next to her, facing the house before them as she was now. “I’m sorry. I bought the gift weeks ago, and I wasn’t sure if I was still allowed to give it to you.”
“No, it was… i-it was perfect,” she stammered, running her hand over the bear’s fur. “It’s just everything rushed over me. Like the breakup, the fact that I won’t be here next year, the fact that my dad won’t even see me gradua…”
Another string of sobs ransacked (Y/N)’s body, but that time it wasn’t the bear she was hugging. Stiles had wrapped his arms around her, pressing her into his chest. She could smell his cologne and feel his warmth, a feeling she had missed for the past seven days. All she wanted was to melt into his touch and profess to him all that she felt. But she couldn’t. Not anymore. Because he didn’t want it.
“I didn’t want things to be this way,” she cried into his chest. “I didn’t want everything to fall apart.”
Stiles remained quiet as she cried, a hard feat for someone like him. But he let her cry and cry until only quiet sniffles filled the air. Because he hadn’t wanted things to be that way either.
He knew he had overreacted. When he had told (Y/N) his plans of enrolling in George Washington University all the way across the county, she had told him they could make it work. Especially if she got into any of the ivy leagues she had applied to on the East Coast. It had been fine. Hell, it had been perfect.
But when she told him that she wouldn’t just be a couple of states away but that she would be on another continent, he couldn’t help but let his abandonment issues take control.
He knew she was brilliant. He knew she deserved to do and be all that she had dreamed. But he feared that once she achieved all of her goals, he would just not fit into her life anymore.
“You’re gonna go on to do great things, (Y/N),” he sighed sadly as her tears stopped. “You’re gonna go to Oxford, just like your parents, and you’re gonna probably graduate at the top of your class on your way. And I’ll be here —well, in Washington, technically—cheering you on.”
“But why couldn’t we be great together, Stiles? We couldn’t we both go on to do great things, together?”
“Come on, (Y/N). Once you’re there, you’re gonna meet so many people, and you’ll have guys falling on their knees for you,” he chuckled dryly. “I won’t fit into your new world. I mean, you said it yourself: that’s where your parents met and your life began. And now, maybe you’ll have a new beginning. And years from today, we’ll run into each other, and you’ll tell me about your job and your husband and your kids, and I’ll be so happy for you. Because you serve all the love and happiness in the world, even if it’s without me.”
“Have you even asked yourself if that’s what I want?” (Y/N) asked as she left his warm embrace, her red eyes boring into his. “I’m not leaving because I’m searching for a new life. I want to go to Oxford because it’s one of the last things I can share with my dad. I can walk down the same halls he did, I can take classes in the same classrooms, and eat at the same places he did. But I was always going to come back, Stiles. Because my friends are here, my mom is here, because you are here. I don’t want to run into you and talk about another man or the kids I would have with him. I don’t want to run into you at all. I want to walk beside you, Stiles. If I ever have kids, it’s only if they’re a part of you too,” she cried, fresh tears falling down her already-stained cheeks. “If you don’t love me anymore, then fine. I can understand that, and I can walk away. But don’t you dare say that you wouldn’t fit into my life because you’ve been there longer than anyone I know, and I need you to be there until the end. Because I already lost someone important to me and I can’t lose you too. Not you.”
“(Y/N), I don’t want to lose you either,” he sobbed. “But how can we fight with the distance? How could we ever withstand the fact that we’ll be an ocean away?”
“We have gone through worse battles than a plane ride, Stiles. We have been on the brink of death more times this past year than any person would in their lifetime. Do you really think being in a different time zone is the limit to our relationship? I know the future isn’t promised but you were the one person I always knew would be there.”
“I’m scared, okay?! I’m scared that you’ll meet someone better than me, (Y/N). I’m terrified that you’ll realize that maybe I’m not the guy that can give you your happy ever after,” he finally confessed. His voice croaked, and his chest heaved as the words fell out of his mouth faster than he could ever stop them. “This week has been torture without you. But it’s made me realize that Beacon Hills has always been too small for you. After May, you’re gonna go out there and find your place. And this town will be nothing but a memory you’ll come back to.”
“There is no one better for me than you, Stiles, and Beacon Hills will always be my home,” she replied softly. Her cold hand found his cheek, and she wiped away his tears with her thumb. “I don’t want to know a life where you’re not there. You can’t give up on us without even trying, Stiles. You just can’t.”
Without thinking twice, (Y/N) crashed her lips onto his, sinking into the warmth of his mouth. After a week, kissing him felt like the very first time. It was desperate and filled with need —the need for closeness and passion, the need for love. Instinctively, Stiles’ hands found her waist and pulled her closer to him, wondering how he ever thought he could live without her touch.
“I love you, Stiles, and I don’t even want to think about ever having to love someone else,” she whispered as she parted from him. “My heart belongs to you. And if this is the end, it’ll still remain in your hands.”
“I couldn’t love anyone else like I love you, (Y/N),” he replied with a soft smile. “But I just can’t help the thoughts that flood my brain sometimes.”
“Then don’t listen to them and listen to me when I say that since the moment I met you, I’ve known you were it for me. There is no other man waiting for me in Oxford. It’s you, and it will always be you,” (Y/N) said before kissing him softly once more. “You’re the best thing that has happened to me, Stiles Stilinski, and you’re the only thing that I want to keep happening to me.”
“I can’t believe I ever broke up with you. Especially during Christmas,” Stiles chuckled as he rested his forehead against hers, flicking the tip of her nose with his own. “It was honestly the worst week of my life.”
“Including being possessed?” Scott’s voice startled them as he came into view. “Although, I get it because this was completely avoidable.”
(Y/N) chuckled as she took Scott’s extended hand and got on her feet, wiping away any tears that still remained. “Did you hear that whole thing?”
“More or less,” he chuckled. “It’s a bit hard not to when I was coming to see if you guys were okay.”
“We’re good now, Scotty,” Stiles grinned. “Just had some unresolved feelings to work, though.”
“Can you not mention the whole thing about the breakup? I don’t wanna make it a whole thing.”
“That’s a bit hard, (Y/N),” Malia called from the open front door. “We all kind of already know.”
“Oh, cool, great,” she said as she hid in Stile’s embrace. “That’s not embarrassing at all.”
“Eh, at least our parents are back together,” Liam commented. “Best Christmas present.”
“It really is, huh?” Stiles whispered as he kissed the top of her head.
“Yes. Very cute and adorable,” Lydia added in a desperate tone. “Now, can we go back inside before Hayden and Mason finish all the brownies?”
As the group walked back into the house, Stiles and (Y/N) shared one more moment together on the front porch. “Hey, look up,” Stiles said with a smile. “Mistletoe.”
“Funny that they’d hang that at a werewolf's home,” she chuckled. “Although, I’m pretty sure that one’s plastic.”
“And I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to kiss me.”
“Maybe I’m waiting for another guy to kiss under the plant.” Stiles frowned at her words, and all she could do was laugh. “Too soon?”
“Much,” he said. “Now, come here.”
He snaked his hands on either side of her face and kissed her passionately. He kissed her for every day they had spent apart. He kissed her for every hurtful word he had spewed. He kissed her as a promise of his love for her. Stiles kissed her like she was his future.

summary The story of how Peggy Carter knows the 1943 Billboard hit by heart. rating teens and up audiences relationship Steve Rogers/Peggy Carter chapters 1/5 words: 2,678 [out of ???] tags #POV Peggy Carter, #Movie: Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), #Canon Divergence - Movie: Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), #Song: Star-Spangled Man With A Plan (Marvel), #Inspired by Music, #Captain America USO Tours (Marvel), #Wartime, #Wartime Romance, #Fluff, #Fluff and Angst, #Angst, #Angst with a Happy Ending, #Additional Tags to Be Added note a gift for the 2024's edition of the Steggy Secret Santa [@steggyfanevents]
[...] Peggy was so certain she would never see Steve Rogers again. A certainty that saddened her, much to her surprise. How did she come to value him so highly and so suddenly?
Plenty of GIs tried to court her before and she paid them all no mind. Duty reigned supreme in her heart and she was no schoolgirl, no boy chaser. She valued her purpose above all else, especially over the fleeting interests of men.
Not that Steve tried to seduce her like those rascals, to be fair. He never leered, just admired. No flirting, just sheer honesty. And, God, what honesty that was. As she stood in line, her mind went, without permission, to that car ride to the Brooklyn laboratory just weeks ago.
He, so earnest and flustered, had called her beautiful…
Anyway, she had a job to do.
Yet, there she was, in line to see Captain America’s USO show in New York instead. On opening night, no less!
It was ridiculous.
Lately, her life was just that. Absolute poppycock. However, Margaret Elizabeth Carter did not cause the ridiculousness; she only experienced or witnessed it… until today.
She was being ridiculous. No one else.
Actually, she and Senator Brandt. He used the Allied Forces’ only Super Soldier for pantomime instead of fighting Nazis. Poor Steve. He got all he sought after and, somehow, lost everything.
They all did.
Erskine, who became a close friend, had died, as had the Super Soldier army idea. Outmatched and facing Nazis wielding incredible, maybe alien, weaponry, the Allies could only oppose them with unremarkable men and weapons.
Except for one remarkable man.
And he was tonight’s top billing. [...]
